This was needed, I see Galder and Shagrath pushing themselves along with Vortex and Mustis, this is what is missing from the current Dimmu Borgir lineup. I loved Spiritual Black Dimensions and this song The Insight and the Catharsis is one of my favourite dimmu songs of all time. That along with Death Cult Armageddon and En Sorte Diaboli.

Vortex’s voice aged like the finest wine. He’s hitting those long notes with sustain which he couldn’t do back when Dimmu was in their prime. AND the song is back in its original key since he last sang it. Absolutely brilliant.

When Vortex began to sing the clean part at the end, it literally brought tears to my eyes. I would absolutely love it of Mustis and Vortex came back, full-time. I feel like it would be a massive boost for the band both in sound and relevance again

Absolutely enthralling. I hope this makes Shagrath realize that it was their biggest mistake firing these two. But good to see they buried the hatchet deep enough to make this happen. If they could stay for future albums and get Astennu and Nagash on board to create something special again, this would be a dream come true.
