Замечательное исполнение. Музыка на идиш ласкает слух. Слушая ее я вспоминаю бабушку и дедушку, которые ещё говорили на идиш. Эта была великая культура европейского еврейства на языке, на котором говорили и писали стихи и песни и книги евреи до Катастрофы (Шоа). Слава Всевышнему, что много из этой культуры сохранилось до наших дней.

My mum's people were Glasgow Jews. At the wedding of my mum's cousin, the father of the bride began his speech "I've got rootin', tootin' machutin". We Scottish Jews speak an interesting mixture of Scots and Yiddish.

В звуковом тексте данной песни на идиш употребляется слово "Teich",что означает по-русски "пруд".В подстрочном тексте оно неправильно переведено как "река".

Прекрасно поёт!! Прекрасно!!! Идишь, уже вот, забыли, раньше на нём громко выясняли отношения наши старики в Беларусии!! Это целая большая культура!! Это была целая эпоха!!! Ещё в 1978-85 годах, на нем говорили в Могилёве и Бобруйске.... Жаль уже ушла целая богатая музыкальная культура!!!

Идиш здорово похож на немецкий. Чувствуется, что этот пласт еврейской культуры сформировался под сильным германским влиянием.

Хотя происхождение и основа языка идиш находятся в немецком языке средневековья (а не в современном немецком языке), с самого начала на идиш почти в такой же степени повлияли слова иврита. Из-за преследований на территории нынешней Германии массы евреев переселились в Восточную Европу уже в средние века. Таким образом, за исключением базовой грамматики и синтаксиса, немецкая культура очень мало повлияла на современный культуру идиш.Действительно, те евреи, которые остались в Германии в новейшее время, говорили по-немецки, а не на идиш.С наилучшими пожеланиями!

Я не еврей,но мои лучшие друзья евреи.Я разговариваю на немецком(В2),но почти все понимаю в этой песне.Идиш не знаю.Песня берет за душу.Когда еврей говорит на идиш,то немцы почти все понимают.Песня превосходная.Тем более ,в этом исполнении.
Песня очень грустная и, к сожалению, пророческая. Она появилась за несколько десятилетий до второй мировой войны и тех печальных событий, что постигли еврейское сообщество во время этого бедствия.@@user-fm9ye8tb6d
