For Little Darlings - I think the most recent actor's strike prevented them from being able to use their likeness on the cover. The uncensored version is on the inside though. Delightful coming of age film.

I was able to get thru the grease and play a 2 dvd set. replaced the case. It happens to vinyl records with certain after market protection sleeves. Also there's oily baseball card pages that need to be pitched.

I cleaned all my cases but the stuff ends up coming back. It's really annoying.

I recently purchased Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio from The Criterion Collection on Blu-ray, and it had a couple of small scratches on it- much to my fury. Luckily for me it worked just fine, so I didn't have to replace it, but it still makes me mad that something I bought brand new (and for a pretty expensive price of over $40 Canadian) had scratches on it when purchased brand new. It's certainly frustrating/infuriating, but if it works then it's easier to let it go, but I still don't like it.

I'm curious if you noticed the film when the discs first arrived or if it wasn't until some time later that you noticed. I've noticed that I get a film sometimes on my discs and found that it's because I have a humidifier in the room and they're picking up the film from that. So it's not specific to Shout discs, but the film looks similar to what you're seeing on yours based on the video. I can lightly wipe the disc in those spots and it comes off. If they're arriving like that, then maybe Shout Factory has a problem with the air quality where they're packaging the discs. I don't always watch movies when I first purchase them, and your video got me opening some of my Shout purchases. I noticed Midnight Run, which I haven't played since I bought it, has some scratches on it. I'm sure it's too late for a replacement since I probably bought it a year ago, but I'm going to be more aware of this issue when buying their discs.

It only 4k cases on every movie scratches is the only problem I would have but that oily gunk it really doesn't bother me the movie work really good still

The art work looks great. I'm very tempted to get this but the last 2 movie weren't the best.

I'd be happier if the third Steelbook was just a 4k of all the unreleased endings and content from the 3 films. Also the original pressings from Scream Factory are hard cases, durable, plus I dig the Halloween artwork. I Also love original artwork. It's reversible. Even the 3 movie collection we got included the hard case for each movie.

Agreed that the blu-ray artwork is better. It's strange that some of these 4K releases are reverting back to the original artwork, without really introducing anything new. Hope the transfer is good though.

Received my Black Christmas 4k both the 4k and Blu-ray have scratches smh.. Sent two emails and haven't heard anything yet.. I played the 4k and it seems to be ok but I'm tired of it!

Every time I get a replacement it's either worse or the same. I'm at a point where I might just stop ordering Shout and Criterion titles

Just received Red Dawn today the artwork was torn at the bottom and the discs have scratches and gunk just like yours ughh!! It pisses me off and takes joy out of collecting

I wonder how the Ovilus works. Some words seem random but I'm guessing the Ovilus doesn't pick up correctly the words they're saying. For example "rhythm" sounds like "with him" And maybe the Ovilus doesn't pick up the words in the exact order they were said. You could maybe look to rearrange the words that came up so you can get an idea what was said as a small sentence.
