    Tai chi is chinese and Yoga is indian, however there are chinese people doing yoga and indians doing tai chi. This is due to the influence of Hong Kong-films and stretchy pants.

    Very interesting discussion. You mentioned tai chi keeping thenspine straight. In the Cheng Man Ching Lineage, the loosening exercises done at the beginning of each class do bend and twist the spine

    Why no narration? Can you make a version with narration the whip now move through to … pat the horse? I don’t remember it’s been 20 years but found my old DVD video which is now unreadable.

    to me, the core of taichi is the water philosophy mentioned by Bruce Lee: "be shapeless, formless like water. you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. you put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle. you put water into a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Water can flow or it can crush. Be water my friend." And so to me, taichi is everywhere. It is in our art work, daily job, food, relationship with people around you, even politics, u name it. Love the video. Thanks for doing this.

    I have done both Tai-Chi and Yoga. Both are great mind-body workout. I personally prefer Tai-Chi, especially Wu style. After practicing for years, I can feel the true joy and happiness inside me along with abundant energy throughout the day after Tai-Chi practice. In Tai-Chi, we use mind to direct our intentions, use our intentions to direct the energy, then use the energy to nourish/ balance our entire body to achieve optimal health. No force/ discomfort in any practices of Tai-Chi.

    your Pakua have a lot of default in the precision of mouvement and idea with martial arts techniques reliated to. our family Fu Zheng Song. thanks for sharing. 🌏 your center hand must be like the SUN....fix! we are there Earth which revolves around the Sun Your guard hand, which determines the center of your rotation of the walking circle...must not move! The look is 5 cm further from the hand still in the center, in order to see the attacks from all sides... Once the CHI is in the belly, the head must not go up and down in your walk. Also, in your walk, your toes and heels must stay on the ground as if you were pushing stones with the tips of your feet. I leave you with a sentence from my teacher: We all go around in circles in life, the only difference is that in PaKua our circle is pure. Over time, opponents become like stars.

    As mentioned by Ms Maha, the brief introduction to yoga was just like touching the tip of the iceberg, yes, Yoga is tremendous and it may take a lifetime to master all the Asanas (postures). One of the objectives of stretching is to prepare the nerves and muscles to be capable to sit in Asana (posture) for a longer period of time. If a practitioner can sit in one posture very comfortably for at least three hours then he is considered to have mastered that posture. Even if you could sit in a posture for a few minutes you will be amazed at the relief it provides physically and mentally. Padmasana, Vajrasana, Gorakshana are the most important postures that keep the body stable while you go deep in Dhyana (deeper meditation). There are various records of yoga beating cancer and other diseases including 11-year-old Tabay Atkins - the youngest yoga instructor - whose mother was a cancer patient, and others. In ancient times there were over 300,000 Asanas which are now reduced to over four scores As per the yoga principle, there are 112 chakras (energy centres) in our body including seven basic and four secondary ones. The energy centre mentioned in Tai Chi is the third chakra called Manipura in yoga. Yoga practice goes much deeper, it's like an ocean. but it's also the mental and physical preparation of the body for samadhi (beyond Nirvana) .... better practise yoga and realise ... Well! Thanks for covering this topic.

    • @lemonspica
      @lemonspica 2 года назад

      I think the idea is to do, not only to watch. Its not for entertainment purposes, its for healing. Practitioners understand.

    • @jestfullgremblim8002

      I mean, the only reasons for someone to watch this is if they want to learn or review these forms. It cannot be boring if you are trying to do one of those things, and if you aren't, then why are (were) you here?

    Tai chi works on stretching and opening the inside of the body such as fascia, joints, tendons, etc. Yoga is mostly stretching muscles, bending, the spine and developing flexibility.
