I really like core of this system. But automation and electronics doesn't have to make product worse or more unreliable. For example, you can still have all the same manual controls, just have parallel electronics control so that it can either be switched on remotely or automatically maintain water level. Ultimately, it would be nice to have extra module that gives this connectivity to boat's other systems. Though, it should be pretty easy to just do with some kind of electronic switch yourself. Now I'm I have not researched this much, but as far as I know this electronic monitoring also applies to stuff like gauges, you can literally have same manual gauges, but just have electronic sensor in either same product or installed somewhere else, and again, this would have no effect on reliability, it would just act in parallel and as extra. Overall, I would still buy this since I have heard really good things about this. But to me it could be even better product and appeal to even more customers if there was some type of electronic package for the product, with some simple sensors and electronics, it could run itself and automatically monitor for correct pressure levels/faults. At this point, stuff like electronic pressure gauges are as reliable as normal ones. And even if they did break, it would just mean you lost the sensor, it wouldn't affect the function of the product.

How does the water flow to the middle of the water filters, then go right through the filter, then change directions and left through the 2 filters leading to the High pressure pump without a control valve on the other end of the rinse filter? Also, why is there a bypass the low pressure pump? How it is set up this way?

Can your system be using on land too ? For like off grid living?

Is there a datasheet? Power consumption at each BTU output? I checked the website but did not find anything. Thanks!

Sea water to useable water. how about spring water quality? Is it possible to add dosage pumps and tanks to arrange ph, minerals...

When you use the first method by disconnecting the line from the filters and use the high pressure pump, does the high pressure pump have to be fully pressurized, or does it have to be set at zero pressure?

They also fail to mention that the panel only has conections for the hot side. They fail use a large enough piece of plastic to actually be strong enough for the weight of the attached pieces. Get a unit from a different company

They also neglect to tell you that the panel will need a very specific housing, otherwise the hoses that go straight back and also to the side will not fit without a ton of extra room.

They use straight thread o ring fittings on tapered pipe thread holes into the membranes. But then again they skip that part of the install

Don't buy this watermaker. Besides skipping many steps in both their manual and this video, the design of the remote panel is beyond atrocious and will end up costing you in a very frustrating install.

What a total pain.

I thought your proprietary pressure regulator valve was a ‘set it once’ (e.g. 800psi) and no need to adjust it each time you run the system? If so, why do you need a valve on the control panel to adjust the pressure?

I have never had a desalination unit. What is pickiling and how often should it be done?

I started installing in my boat today.

Why can't we run PG through the prefilters? If we just need to pickle it for a month or two should we use sodium metabisulfite instead? (Trying to avoid taking the filters out because then I have to keep them someplace).

Do you have to pickle it after usage ?
