Passage is an instrumental musical project from Québec, Canada that lies somewhere between Progressive Rock, Post-Rock, Neoclassical music and Ambient. Sometimes sad, sometimes dreamy, our ethereal music is intended as a moment of reflection on our existence.
Originally formed in 2001, Passage released a self-titled debut album in 2005, and "As Darkness Comes" in 2017 in a completely different style (doom metal), before making a 180 degrees in 2021 with the albums "Voyage" (2022). "Oblique" (2023) and "Crystal" (2024).
The EP "Miroirs" was released October 11, 2024. It features the exclusive 14-minutes song "Miroirs", and a cover of the the song “Not Yet Remembered”, originally composed by Brian Eno & Harold Budd and released on their magnificent album “The Plateaux of Mirror” in 1980.

“Miroirs” is the new EP from Canadian instrumental music project Passage, released on October 11, 2024. It follows the release of the album “Crystal” earlier in May, the same year. The song “Miroirs” is a perfect illustration of Passage's soundscape: ethereal, ambient, tinged with melancholy but also with hope, like a tragic but beautiful dream.
Passage also covers the song “Not Yet Remembered”, originally composed by Brian Eno & Harold Budd and released on their magnificent album “The Plateaux of Mirror” in 1980.

Pourquoi avoir retiré le vocal ? J'avais beaucoup aimé l'ajout du vocal death à quelques endroits pour le 2e album.
Nous avons décidé de faire un 180 degré « musical » et explorer le post-rock avec Passage. Dans ce genre de musique, il n’y a que très rarement du vocal. L’expression de la musique parle d’elle-même. Nous sentions avoir atteint la fin de Passage dans sa forme « Métal », après avoir réalisé notre deuxième album « As Darkness Comes » en 2017. L’idée pour nous est de laisser nos instruments parler d’eux-mêmes, sans avoir besoin de paroles pour exprimer son sens.
