Know Your Matchup
Германия
Добавлен 1 июн 2013
You know what's annoying about Tekken? Nobody's telling you how other characters work... or expect you to watch 100s of hours of character tutorials to get decent at Tekken.
To close the gap, I wanted to create videos that focus on what you REALLY need to know to beat other characters.
Feel free to ask any question or give constructive feedback.
See ya in the comment section :)

A few bits I forgot to mention: - ff4: since he is +2oB… his ws4 is uninterruptible. To beat that, you can ssR or Parry it. Once he see's you ssR, ws12 can catch you. ALSO, he has ws32 against mashers. It's i13, but the second hit is a high. Watch out for this move, many Paul players spam this to get a CH, because it also tracks really well to both sides! - Clarification about df1 interruptible options: you can interrupt any follow up with i12 moves or faster. Just watch out for his qcb3 low or deep dive… as well as his backsway cancel into ss to make your pokes whiff. As for ws12... same applies, but you have two more frames to interrupt Paul. So any move that's i14 or faster can beat him. - 14 - You saw me stepping his ws4 with ssL here. Although you'd usually step Paul right here, left also works because 14 pushes you to your left a little.
How do you wakeup against her? You didn't cover that. Just got cooked by low leg sweep that guarantees anothers sweep, and a mid punch that hits grounded and can be looped
Ah, good point. The low sweep can be seeable (but takes time to get used to.)... at higher level play, it's often used to catch your ss attempts. In these cases, it can be really hard to react to it. You see it being used even in tournaments. As for the grounded hit, you're probably refering to qcf2. Often used at the wall as well. If you hold back after they end their wall combo with a 1+4, you can immediately block. If they hit you grounded once, you can wake up immediately by pressing UP, or, often sideroll to make the next one whiff. Just don't hold back.
Thx a lot! Now I know why she's so annoying 😂
🤣
Amazing video bro. what controller do you use btw??
Thanks mate. I use a Razer Kitsune :)
Thank you for this!! Looking forward to the next ones
thanks! Let me know if there's a specific character you'd like to see

hahah thanks mate! I actually started on the Steve script. Will sit down with a Steve main soon and go over it. :D
@zalea9507 my goat!
Thanks its gonna help me a lot, did you planned to do other character ?
Hey, yes! Was just busy with moving to a new apartment. Already started to write new scripts for upcoming characters. Let me know if you'd like to see a specific character
Great video
Thanks :) Let me know if you have any more questions
A few things I haven't mentioned: - f4 is quite linear. You can step it in either direction - 12 into ss1F1 (the frame trap) can also be sidestepped left. So you can step most of her crouch dash options left easily (including her 2 heat engaged and 3 low slide) - d434 - train yourself to duck the 2nd hit OR parry the 3rd hit!
