What a brilliant campaign this season was. Some amazing performances from the players. Hearts were a top side but as usual we sold half the team after winning the cup and having such a fantastic season. ♥️👍

If Hearts Had Got The Other Group There’s no doubt about it that Hearts would’ve been playing Liverpool in the Final. They had a great side then but still wouldn’t have beaten Liverpool although it would have been a much closer match than Bradford gave them. Even the first game Hearts played better and should’ve scored one or two more goals. Love these little games to look back on but the tennents sixes should still be played now but obviously I understand why they can’t with the amount of fixtures. ⚽️👌⚽️

Henry Smith was a top tier keeper and definitely would’ve been able to play at a higher level if it was modern day football. With the wage and contract structure being similar back in then it was the clubs who had the upper hand & wages weren’t crazy yet. Fortunately for Hearts he was a true Jambo fan and was paid a good wage by Hearts and always looked after by the club. Apart from 2 huge mistakes in his whole career. During 2 Scottish cup semi finals his biggest asset was his level of consistent performances. He would always be very good. Always very safe no errors and was capable of the unbelievable with his ability to pull of world class saves. Henry Smith could’ve played elsewhere but gave his loyalty to Hearts for more than 15 years. A Magic keeper who was the number 3 for Scotland in an era behind the mighty Gorman & Leighton. If those guys weren’t the best goalkeepers Scotland has ever had he’d have easily been the Scotland keeper for 10 years. He’s a great guy also and will still talk to you if you see him walking around south Queensferry or wherever. One of the true greats but goes under the radar a little but he’s a true legend of the Scottish game. Hearts run through his blood. ♥️. 🖐️⚽️🤚. 👌
