Hello House Music Lovers!
I'm DJ Matattack and I've been mixing Funky House Music on vinyl since the late 90's. I love curating the latest in House music and hand crafting mixes that will (hopefully) uplift your spirits and inspire you. Every mix is a meticulous journey in hand selecting the right tracks to create a heartfelt mix in a snapshot of time. You seem to like to mute the sound and bass, but you overdo it and end up with no groove or anything. Self-satisfied.
Thanks for listening. Without doing quick EQ cuts during mixing (like bass kill/swap) I'll typically end up with overpowering sounds like too much bass/mid/high, sounds cancel eachother out, redline, or the mix will sound too chaotic. I don't always do hard cuts though, so for example if one track has heavy bass and the track being mixed in doesn't, I'll let the bassline ride on the existing track for awhile before mixing out. Admittedly though I probably err on the side of quick eq cutting when it's not always necessary.
Toolroom, Ibiza Live mixes, rooftop sets, basement collections of all kinds; I've been surfing through trying to find something that suits my subjective musical taste and this fits nicely. Ty
