Train Detection Systems
Просмотров 15 тыс.2 года назад
The purpose of train detection systems is to check that related track section is clear of vehicles before a train may be authorized to pass through a route. The detection of the presence of a train is an important task for ensuring the safety of train traffic. There are mainly two train detection systems used around the world, Track circuit and Axle counter. Let’s talk about them.

Grade Of Automation (GoA)
Просмотров 2 тыс.2 года назад
Automatic train operation (ATO) is an operational safety enhancement device used to help automate the operation of trains. The degree of automation is indicated by the Grade of Automation (GoA), up to GoA level 4 (where the train is automatically controlled without any staff on board). ATO is primarily used on automated guideway transit and rapid transit systems where it is easier to ensure the...
European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS)
Просмотров 1 тыс.2 года назад
Initially created to allow trains to cross borders without the need to change locomotive or driver, the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS/ETCS) is now being adopted globally. Responding to an EU initiative, the system was developed by key partners in Europe’s rail and signalling industry (UNISIG). ERTMS comprises of the European Train Control System (ETCS), i.e. a cab-signalling sy...
Train Autonomous Circumambulation System - CRRC Solution
Просмотров 1,1 тыс.2 года назад
In this video, CRRC explains its system called Train Autonomous Circumambulation System (TACS), a signaling system that enables autonomous resource management and active interval protection based on operational plan and real-time location. In other words, the Chinese CBTC. Visit www.rail-kn.com for Railway #Signalling Articles LinkedIn bit.ly/3pKtDIS Twitter bit.ly/33bHOOb Facebook bit.ly/3n7ebVi
What does driving under ATO over ETCS look like (GoA 2)
Просмотров 8 тыс.2 года назад
The digital S-Bahn had its premiere run at the opening of the Intelligent Transport Systems World Congress (ITS) in Hamburg last October. During the congress, four digital S-Bahn trains, developed by Siemens Mobility and Deutsche Bahn, operated automatically along the 23-kilometer section of S-Bahn Line 21 between the Berliner Tor and Bergedorf/Aumühle stations. The technological foundation for...
Why interlocking is so important - Railway Rush Hour in Japan
Просмотров 9902 года назад
In a few words, Interlocking is one of the crucial parts of a railway system and is basically designed to: - Ensure that any route is safe to operate over - Maintain the route which a train is approaching or using - Ensure the system fails to a safe state Visit www.rail-kn.com for Railway #Signalling Articles LinkedIn bit.ly/3pKtDIS Twitter bit.ly/33bHOOb Facebook bit.ly/3n7ebVi
It must be really hard to stay awake on a vehicle where you do absolutely nothing for hours. But is it mandatory to use the ATO or is it possible to drive the train manually? I know that in many subways the driver falls asleep, looks at his cell phone or listens to music, because he is unable to maintain passive attention for all that time, which is prohibited by regulations and in fact they often hit people without even realizing it, because they don't they can maintain attention. On a train it must be even worse, because the stops are far away and on a freight train there are no stops, so from the moment the train leaves there are no operations to carry out, in my opinion at this point it is better to definitively eliminate the driver and find him another job or give him a minimum income to live on, it makes no sense to keep a person staring at a windshield for hours without doing anything, because if he sleeps it's as if he wasn't there.
How many completely different things you want to mix up? YES!
Is the deadman’s switch disabled during ATO running?
I assume it’s not disabled. The driver should still be required to be vigilant as GoA2 equipment can’t detect potential obstacles on the track.
@@SSogariusIs he sleeping? How can you notice an obstacle? Can the dead man device keep him awake? Wouldn't it be better to eliminate the driver, since he doesn't do anything, and use obstacle cameras?
It totally sucks. Its like there is no driver inside. The driver is totally an npc. Its really sad that technology is really taking from people what they love to do, which in this case is driving.
Yeah it’s kinda sad that everything is starting to be automatic
Stunning experience on this rail, butter smooth acceleration and braking.
an algorithm is much better than a human. I imagine a future where no means of transport must and can be driven by a human. The most humans will be allowed to ride is bicycles.
Great video. ☺️
My god, the Wuppertal looks gorgeous.
Good job EU! Happy to hear that Europe becomes a more eco-friendly and mobile continent for all EU-member states
LRT Kelana Jaya Line in Kuala Lumpur utilized GoA4 n GoA3
Just like you're sitting in an NPC train in the TSW2
Good information. Keep posting
Sir kindly make video on control table in signalling
I am from the UK and there is a type of ATP but it is only on 1 route what is the GWML from London - Bristol and is only fitted to 3 classes of train what are the class 43, class 800/802 and class 180 all of which have a top speed of 125MPH unfortunately it is not fitted to the slower trains that also use the route what would have stopped a almost head on crash that happened in 1999 just outside london
Good information, Thanks for uploading
Its time to think about changing ETCS to WTCS (world), as etcs now is spread along the globe
Thanks for mentioning Frauscher Axle Counter. Automatic "Reset of Axle Counters" is possible.
How about ETCS Level 3?
Same as level 2, but it has two main features over and above the latter: - Moving block - Removal of track-based train detection systems, such as track circuits or axle counters Thank you for watching our videos and following us.
