My cat now wants to see this video daily and will watch it for hours. All it needs is an optional smell-a-scent added and he'd probably never quit trying to catch these mice. I'm grateful for it because he no longer is bringing the real ones he's caught inside.

Great to see the Clark's nutcrackers (grey birds with black wings) appearing in this wonderful video show along with others. Beautiful, sunny day is wonderful with bright colors for us humans and softer greens for cats' vision, or brown, grey, and blue colors that dogs can see... :)

Chloe LOVES this one. She only stops paying attention when chickens or birds take over the scene. It's the MICE. She jumps up in front of the screen and paws at them, sniffs, looks for them when they go out of sight between the water buckets. Oh, chickens. Boring. Can I have some food? f you only need to encode the checkpoint and you have a fixed number of them, you should be able to get your save file much much smaller. I.e. it sounded like you were classifying around 8 different checkpoints? If that's around the multitude of different states that you need to save, you should be able to encode that in a single byte. With the smaller overall save state size, you could probably find a way to encode that gracefully into the image (I like the idea of encoding it into a stamp to go with the postcard theme)
