Cycling in China's Eco-city Boom EXPLAINED! Cycling in China (Vlog 4)
Просмотров 5 тыс.14 дней назад
I recently saw a video in which a person was cycling around Africa showcasing some eco-friendly solutions in each city. This cycling vlog really motivated me to do something similar, a kind of cycling motivation vlog, to show why is cycling good and how do certain cities promote it for an eco friendly environment. In this video, we travel to Eco-city whose motto is “A city gently placed in natu...

In this video we take a trip to Ninghe/Tangshan to a Han Buddhist temple. Buddhism spread through China during the Han dynasty in the first century by monks from India. Being so close to such historic places is a wonderful privilege, one which I wish to share with all of you. We had a lot of fun on this "café ride" and hope you enjoy it too. If you have any questions, please post them in the co...
Cycling in China (Vlog 2) - The Cafe Ride - A Lot More Than Just AliExpress and Chinese Bikes

In this video we take a trip to Baodi to see the start of the Yellow River. Culturally, the river played a key role in the development of China as a whole, not only domestically but in terms of strategy during war times and logistics for trade and economic growth. This was a fun trip, a little windy but a lot to take in. If you have any questions related to cycling culture here in China, please...

    Can you go back and ask: How did they design the frame? How does it compare in a wind tunnel to the other pro tour bikes? How does trek feel about them making a world tour bike? Assume this is only for Chinese domestic market - due to aforementioned trek Etc etc

      I just added the geometry charts to the Strava ride I did on the day of this interview. You can find it here: www.strava.com/activities/13166134939 I hope it is helpful.

    Great job, have you also seen the RS9? I'd love to get my hands on that one, seems like a perfect lightweight do it all bike.

    • @ChinaRides-u3t
      @ChinaRides-u3t 2 дня назад

      Thank you. Yes, they also had the RS9 there, it does seem to be a great "do it all" machine. The thing I really like about these bikes is the colour options. Also, I was told that the AD9 was 2 watts faster than the Canyon Aeroad, but that's neither here nor there.

    Looks like great fun, but unfortunate that it's such a long drive first, so it doesn't really seem feasible as a tourist without a car. The bike stuff painted on the road feels very reminiscent of some famous climbs in the Alps, really wasn't expecting that. Definitely would love to see more climbs! :D

    • @ChinaRides-u3t
      @ChinaRides-u3t 8 дней назад

      Hey Dellpit, good to have you here. To begin with, there are many ways to get to the climb. Firstly from the airport a van service is available to carry the bike and passenger there. There is also a train or a Didi (Taxi) service. The climb itself was used in the 2014 Tour of Beijing and since then has been a staple for many cyclists from all over China. And you are right, it does feel like the Alpine or Dolomite climbs in many ways. In my next video I will be doing a review of the new X-Lab bike which will be used by Team Astana Qazakstan next season, but the following week I will record a climb in Hainan, an island in the South of China. Hopefully you will enjoy that. Have a lovely day.
