Buy my producer a coffee! 👇🏻
My husband Jake works so hard editing my videos and while he claims it’s “because he loves me,” I want to make sure he feels extra appreciated by my viewers. You all have such sweet things to say about his skills and I thought this would be a great way to pay Jake back a little bit for the amount of time it takes him to make my videos so well put together 😊

Incredibly helpful! Thank you so much!
Oh my gosh! This was a great video! Love your family stories, pet appearances, bloopers, and of course your projects!
Love the counting trick. I'll use that for sure!
Thanks forbthe tutorial! I really want to start quilting if I can ever pull myself away from cross stitching!
Thanks for another wonderful video! I appreciate the time both you and your husband take to make them! Your house looks so warm and inviting. If you enjoy stitching on Winter Woolens, you can purchase it right from Seraphim Fabrics.
I enjoyed watching your process. I started her garden shed/gardener quilt a couple years ago and I have vowed to get back to it this year and get it done!
Thanks for all the helpful tips! Looking forward to seeing how you sew the appliqués down. 💚
I was so inspired by your video. I loved your finishes. I still remember living with my parents for 2.5 years while we built a house in the late 90s. So glad you are moved into your new home. I am actually inspired to finish some pillows now.
Thank you so much for sharing this ❤ I’m a beginner quilter and I had a Home Town quilt kit that I’m about to start and your video is amazingly helpful! Thank you so much ! ❤
Great video. Thanks for taking the time to share your process. Seems so much faster. Looking forward to your next video.
Great video. I’m wanting to try something small to see how it goes. Thanks for the tips. Was nice to see all your steps as you went.
Wonderful tutorial! Thanks!
Great job! Oh I love me some Lori holt appliqués.
Great tutorial!! I love Lori Holt’s style. Love the fabrics!!!
Thanks for sharing! Your method is quicker and wastes less fabric 😊 when you piece the triangles do you use the half square triangle method or the sew easy corner method?
Looking forward to the next video! I have the perfect project to try this technique! I am enjoying your cross stitch projects as well!
Thanks for a great demo. I hope you keep sharing your quilting ideas, progress and show and tell.
Your method looks so much easier than I imagined! It makes me want to attempt a Lori Holt appliqué quilt now!❤️
What a great tutorial! It really helped me. You have a great no nonsense attitude. I appreciate that. Please keep these coming as I’d love to see how you sew it down. Thanks again. ❤
I really love that you put the name of the project up on the screen. Most of the time I'm working on a project while listening and an write down the info if it is something that I would like to try. Love the names in your family. Faye was even spelled the way mine is. Thanks for sharing your projects!
Look forward to the stitching down video. I have made 4 Lori quilts that are appliqué and I hand stitched the blocks. I actually think my hands now would protest a bit so next time I might use the machine. Thanks for taking the time!
Thanks for sharing your technique. I have one of Lori’s appliqué quilts with sew simple shapes and I keep putting it off. I just need to start with 1 block at a time and give it a try. Your block looked great.
TY for the video! You make it look so easy
Thank you so much for making the process so darn easy. Great tutorial! Love your videos!
I'm so glad you found it helpful! 😊 I felt kind of silly making the video. my process certainly isn't like reinventing the wheel so I wasn't sure anyone would find it particularly useful LOL
Thanks for taking the time to demo Lori's Flower Basket Block. Your way is so much faster and less fabric waste. Yay Wondering is it more difficult for your longarm to stitch thru the stiffness of the glue drops and thick applique fabric? Had alot of complaint from a hired longarmer in CA. Thank you again
I have never had issues with the Sue Daley fabric glue causing issues during longarming! I have also not had any issues with thickness. The Granny’s Garden quilt that Lori did 6 years ago-ish does have a lot of layers of applique, but my machine was still able to quilt through it all with no problem! That said, I do try to eliminate any bulk where I can while I’m putting together my applique!
Great.. going to keep using Sue Daly glue scantly, and cont. to appliqué my pieces of flowers . Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much. I would love to see how you machine stitch it down. I do not enjoy hand stitching blocks down because I would rather be cross stitching.
I will show that in my next Quiltube video! ☺️
@@redvelvetquilts Thank you!
Carrie, your projects are beautiful! I love your Portfolio and your counting trick is great advice! Thank you!❤
Thank you so much! 💕
Great informative video ❤
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for letting us watch your process.
You are very welcome! I hope you find it helpful!
I want to try applique one day. Lori's quilts are beautiful!
Her method using the sew in interfacing is foolproof! I love it!
So glad to hear someone else doesn’t enjoy the prep. Great video!
Thank you!
I loved to see how you do your applique - I pretty much do exactly the same - cut as I go and play Lori on the ipad as I go!! I would love to see you topstitch those shapes - you have inspired me to do my next Lori applique shapes on the machine - I've only done the big pumpkins so far and loved it so much - it's just so much faster and more fun!! Thank you :)
I will show how I machine applique in my next video! 😄
@ yay 😀 I can’t wait Carrie! So helpful 🪡
When you originally said you chopped your fabric, I just imagined piles and piles of waste scraps. This less-than-delicate method makes so much sense! Why cut carefully twice?!
Much quicker and satisfying for impatient people like me 🤣
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks! I'm just learning how to quilt. This was very helpful!
Having fun is what it is all about. I also enjoy my Bernina.
I am glad I found your flosstube as we have similar tastes in cross stitch and quilting ! Please ; yes , do a video of your method of applique ! I love seeing different ways to cut out and stitch . I am going to try your method of cross stitching long borders also , I bet it will really help . Keep on giving us inspiration . Loving it!
Just uploaded an applique video! I hope you find it useful!
Love this video! Your project bag is gorgeous!
Thank you so much!
I just watched and you are a doll!!! I so enjoyed it!! I can’t believe you can stitch so fast!!!! Amazing!! I’m on to #2-3-&4. Thanks and keep up the good work!!♥️. BTW-I live in Texas too!!!
Thanks so much!! I’m glad you are enjoying these!! 🥰
I heard of you from Carol the Saltbox Stitcher and just caught up with all of your FlossTubes. I am enjoying your videos very much as my secondary hobby is quilting. Keep on making your FlossTubes I am a subscriber.
Thank you so much! I love Carol’s videos!
I enjoyed your video and loved the bee drawer. I also loved the Santa’s days of Christmas so much I looked on line for the patterns..eek $18 for 4 patterns, okay, but $38 for postage!!! Oh no then. Overseas postage makes that impossible with no pdf. 😔
Oh gosh that is a lot!! I hope you can find them somewhere with a cheaper shipping option!
Your art has made your house so homey and cozy!
Thank you! 😊
Such wonderful eye candy, Carrie!!! Love seeing the pets and it's so great to hear Winnie's mouth is healing. I can't quit looking at the dogs barking at the cows and the cows just keep on chewing their grass - too funny! Stitching-wise, I don't even know where to begin as it was fabulous! It will be fun to see your red (or one-colour) sampler wall grow. I love how you are personalizing The Pink House Sampler with all the twins/triplets' initials. Thanks so much for all the inspiration. Happy stitching!
Thank you!! I am really hoping eventually the cows are old news and they won’t bark QUITE as much but that may be wishful thinking 🤣
Love love your channel!!!!! You had me at doxies 😁 They have such a special place in my heart! Every time I hear them pitter patter on your floor, it makes me smile 🥰🥰🐾 I found you via Pam & Steph at Just Keep Stitchin and I'm so happy they recommended you! Your finishes are sooooo beautiful and inspiring!!! Your quilts are just stunning. I have been hesitant to try applique but knowing you can machine stitch them intrigued me. I've so wanted to make the chicken salad quilt! Oh, and I love your Starbarks finish!!! I have that about half done, seeing yours makes me want to pull mine out and just get it finished already. Thanks for all your shared and looking forward to your future videos!!!
Thank you so much!! You are so kind! When the tippies make the tappies… it gives me the happies!! 🤣🤣 doxies are so so fun!
For your washboard how about one of the Hands on Designs -- Laundry the Never aending Cycle or Irony You can display in your laundry room
I was just looking at those patterns today and brainstorming! 😀
Did I hear you say your great great grandmother had 3 sets of triplets and 3 sets of twins?! That is wild, what a fun thing to know and have in your family tree! I wonder how many cousins there are from that side of the tree in your generation 🤔 Thanks for sharing your history and your work! -Katherine @accounting.my.stitches
Yes, it was crazy! I plan to keep researching! There is just not enough time in the day 😂
Girl, I live in Texas and hate summer too 🥵🥵. Love your family twin story. You have lots of pretty projects to look forward to finishing.
I am totally dreading summer! 🥵 even now we’re in the mid 80s this week and I hate it so much 🤣😭
It’s Sunbonnet Sue and overall Sam.
Wonderful video as usual. A couple of red thread sources is Red Letter Day by Theresa Venette and French samplers by Kathy Barrick. Several small red samplers that are sweet. I too have been thinking about stitching floral motif sampler on ballet slipper after watching that Flosstube. So much to stitch! I also pulled out and Rudolf. The folio you stitched was nice. I’m not a sewer like that but you did a great job. Appreciate the time you take for theses videos. Thank you.
Oh, I forgot I have red letter day!! I need to get it out! Thank you!
Hi Carrie! I am Paola, here in Italy. I want to thank you for your flosstube. I think it's not easy to be public, on you tube. I like your sense of humour and your love for the furry ones and your taste. I really think you're a natural. I am a mostly a sampler stitcher and I also like the prim style of Kathy Barrick and Teresa Kogut. Thanks again and happy stitching!
Thank you so much 🥰
