I do wish the sheath's mouth was deeper such that it was even with the clip. I find it just makes it easier to resheath a knife with less chance of cutting your pants in the process. Oak City Makes a couple of versions of leather sheaths that allow the handle to ride deeper, and that have the mouths even with the clip. Then again, one of the nice things about this knife is that the factory sheath is better than many, and not having to spend another $100 could make it an attractive deal... Just wish they would extend the mouth of the sheath a bit...
Yeah dude, I made this video before I had any experience with other fixies. This stock sheath is actually much better than most. I do have to say that despite me being scared of damaging something, its been fine so far. Something I can’t say for a different expensive leather sheath… knife went right through it.
Nobody thought my mini fixed blade was weird when a 500 dollar charcuterie board showed up at work and everyone needed it 😂. Boker burnley Barlow is what I carry now, but I think I’m gonna grab one of these too!
Sounds like quite the save on your part! Its always a dream scenario when your knife is the hero of the day. The Barlow is great! But you should definitely add the Lookout, you won't be disappointed to throw one into the rotation.
@@joejamesphoto thanks for the reply. I’m definitely considering it!
That was cool video on the TI Lookout it looks like a sweet little blade, considering on buying one myself. But also that’s what is so great about titanium as a metal it has properties that cause it not to rust, similar to stainless steel but it is way stronger and is a more desirable material $.
Its definitely sweet. 4 months later and I have carried it quite often. I think I need to make a part two with my updated perspectives.
Dont know if you've checked out Oak City Leather but they have a nice pocket slip that rides deeper
Yeah, I have found a few options since. picking this up. My perspective has changed a bit as well. I might have to do a part two.
Great video sir! Very useful information for everyone
Thank you very much!
Add a strip of adhesive grip tape (like for skateboards) on both sides of the handle…
After the roll out of the clot shot main thing needed is a defibrillator they are popping up everywhere around my small town the government put 1 outside the takeaway store
Those are tough to purchase and keep everywhere personally, but knowing how to use one, as well as how to perform CPR is a great idea! Unless there is a new small affordable one I am unaware of.
I would also throw in a space blanket, as prep medic says "hypothermia kills in trauma." Again, great video, love to see this type of content!
That is definitely not a bad idea. Thanks!
It's great to see more people talking about this. One piece of advice is I would pull the plastic covering off of your tq. That little bit of friction could mean life or death. Awesome video, very comprehensive.
Thank you! That is actually a very good point. TQ doesn't need to stay sanitary. Thanks for the tip!
@@joejamesphoto sure thing!
Awesome content as always!
Thank you! I appreciate that.
Yep. I want one.😊
How’d you remove the scales? Don’t they use proprietary hardware?
Nope! Just some torque bits. The back one is quite large though. Like a T30 or similar.
Great video Joe 🤙🤙
