Nice place to live, but I wouldn't want to visit there... . :-)
you wasted little time getting this made and posted.
Hi Jason. My name is Linda. I just found your two videos of Nelson Lake in Valley East. My family had a camp on the lake for 32 years. Since none of my siblings or I live in the Sudbury area anymore, my mother sold it in 2002 after my dad passed. It’s still my favourite place on the planet and I miss it very much. I live in Toronto but when I go up to visit I try to find time to drive out to the landing and have a little visit. If you’re ever diving in the lake in future and get out more to the centre, where the rock cliff (West Bay Rock) is, you should discover a supply of concrete slabs from Rainbow Concrete that toppled off a raft we were hauling to use for support for our sleep camp in the mid 1980s. There was never a shortage of beavers on that lake; a particularly notorious one dammed the Nelson River every year and that required one of the camp owners to blow it up annually so his dock wasn’t under 6” of water. (We had a floating dock so no such issues. LOL). But I’m not surprised by all the “petrified” trees. I’d love to see more videos of my favourite lake if/when you visit again. Thanks for sharing. It was a nice little trip down memory lane for me.
Brings back wonderful memories. Haven't been there since 1978. Would love to go back.
Did you guys drop that shovel at 2:45 when creating the hole? Done that a few times :D
We dropped a heavy ice pic once or twice
Hermoso
beautiful video
I love this lake! Awesome vids!
wow. lovely place. thanks for sharing What's the bottom temp mid summer? or the temp when you dived there?
bottom at 100' is about 6-8 degrees Celsius. At 20-30 it is in the 18-25 degrees in the summer
What are all the fish species you have observed or know that are in this body of water?
when i was their the water had SO MANY WAVES and on my way to the cave i lost my breath so i tried holing the sides for a breath but the waves were so strong i could not have a break finnaly i made it in the end
No fish?
There is plenty of fish in Georgian Bay, but not as much in those areas with lots of traffic. If you go to Ontario Fishing Forums, you will find lots of info on where to fish from the shore and what the best time of the year is. However, if you plan a shore fishing trip, I strongly advise you to go during the day first, before you attempt a night fishing adventure. Walking around at night, close to the shore, can be quite challenging and it is dangerous. Lots of people fish in certain parts of peninsula at night, I see lots of garbage being left behind... Please do not be one of them.....
Thanks for the upload I went there thinking I could swim the tunnel! ! omg the water was ice cold dead summer & I couldn’t swim the underwater tunnel for I was too scared and didn’t have a snorkel 😂😂
Or any gear for that matter
how many iso u set with this ?
good job!
Footage was amazing. Good job!
I must find this cave
Well done brother
Can you swim that cave without scuba hear?
You can, although the first time i would advice you to go with fins. Also when go through consider swimming to the left cause sometimes ppl jump of the cliff above it. For the 2nd cave dont even try it without fins and you really should know what you are doing. Plus water levels vary from season to season.
Kaloyan Bankov Fins are a must!!! It was a close call man! I did it without and at the exit hyperventilated. Sucked in water. My throat sealed off and I just surfaced. Wish I knew that before!! Lol
Glad you made it! Yeah i go there twice a year and every time the first dive i will go with fins. I had few close calls from jumpers inside and outside the cliff wow
Kaloyan Bankov Man it was scary!! I was over confident. I love your video btw!!!
Kaloyan Bankov my arms and legs stopped working. I was seconds away from my throat opening up. My legs must have been still moving. We can't figure out how I surfaced.
Beautiful !
Great Job man!
Amazing video. Thank you for sharing your experience with Dressel Divers.
Wow, nice video!
Been certified for twenty years, been to Cozumel 4 times and still haven't been scuba-diving. Pathetic, I know! Lol. Thanks for the vid, hope to get a few of my own at these spots in the near future. Keep the great videos coming!
