    When you cut the stone, what is the name of the polish (not sure if thats the correct thing) that is used to seal the edges?

    • @MasterpieceRenovation
      @MasterpieceRenovation 3 месяца назад

      The glue that seals the joint (where two cuts are made) is a custom colour match and a hardener is used as well, so it serves the purpose of keeping the joint looking as seamless as possible while bonding it. The product is a two-part epoxy tinted to match the stone as closely as possible. Here is an example of the product: www.acehardware.com/departments/paint-and-supplies/tape-glues-and-adhesives/glues-and-epoxy/12778?store=04987&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwvvmzBhA2EiwAtHVrb6IXsR_5lLsvfAIyEFX9Gs41NidYa8xXLjL8XSXLc2jxle1gwVEHMxoCAb0QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

    What about for gases and vox

    • @MasterpieceRenovation
      @MasterpieceRenovation 4 месяца назад

      For situations like that, you would need to set up a system blowing the air out with a fan through a window. Exhaust fans can also work well for these scenarios where you are mitigating gasses or VOC's (volatile organic compounds) such as from oil stains or spray painting. There are industrial and commerical systems as well designed for teams that specialize in on-site spray painting.

    • @MasterpieceRenovation
      @MasterpieceRenovation 7 месяцев назад

      Many people ask, 'Do air purifiers eliminate odors? ' The short answer is yes, but it's not that simple. All air purifiers are not created equally, and certain types of filter media are exceptionally good at removing odors, while other filters will not remove any. Hope this helps! 🌟

    does it remove microplastics from the air

    • @MasterpieceRenovation
      @MasterpieceRenovation 7 месяцев назад

      Air purifiers are designed to remove pollutants from the air, including microplastics. This technology is designed to capture at least 99.97% of airborne particles as small as 0.1² microns in size. By combining electrostatic and mechanical filtration technologies, these filters deliver especially high performance and efficiency. This means that air purifiers are capable of capturing microplastics, which are typically larger than this size. By using an air purifier in your home, you can help reduce your exposure to microplastics and improve your indoor air quality ✅️

    i use a sponge . just like touching the wet saw blade while running the water protects the sponge while adding water to your cut . well if you know what your doing .

    • @Rembo318
      @Rembo318 6 месяцев назад

      I would think the sponge is the last thing in that equation that needs protecting? Shouldnt it be doing the protecting, by keeping the blade/tile wet?

    • @Rembo318
      @Rembo318 6 месяцев назад

      Could have worded that better. Probably reads as being a smartass comment moreso than a question but that wasnt my intent. Honestly wanting to know if maybe you worded it wrong or if i just know even less about this situation than i thought i did…which was already not a damn thing lol. Im currently fixing to an outside corner in a porcelain tile with an angle grinder for the first time and trying NOT to screw it up lol. Doing a repair and i only got 1 tile 😬.

    • @Rembo318
      @Rembo318 6 месяцев назад

      And just fyi. This IS a first for me on replacing a porcelain tile, but its definately not my first time around tools or anything. Put it this way, i could build ya house and pretty much have it ready to move into by myself…as long as the prints dont call for tile floors 😂

    • @MasterpieceRenovation
      @MasterpieceRenovation 6 месяцев назад

      The sponge can help with mitigating dust, and the water can help reduce the vibration which may crack the tile or damage your tile cutting blade from overheating. Thermal management does wonders when it comes to protecting your equipment, so that it can last longer for you. Also make sure the surface under which the tile is placed has a shock absorbing layer, and is level. All these little variables can add up to make a big difference in your experience with cutting a particular tile. Hope that helps and wishing you smooth cuts!! 🌟

    • @Rembo318
      @Rembo318 6 месяцев назад

      @@MasterpieceRenovation appreciate the info! Seems i was way overthinking it because it was way easier than i anticipated lol. Had to cut a 1/4” textured porcelain tile with a Bauer diamond wet blade and a warrior angle grinder so i figured it wasnt going to be a great experience lol, but it cut like butter! Put a piece of cardboard under it and lightly clamped a piece of 3/8” scrap wood across the tile over my cutline to use as a guide and got after it with the spray bottle. I figured with my luck, if i tried it with the sponge, i’d ended up shredding my sponge with the grinder lol. That diamond blade makes a world of difference though. Wish i would have bought it before cutting the grout out because that crap sucked using a regular cutoff wheel lol

    That's a big unit, make and model? Today I noticed the ionisation part of my Amcor air filter isn't working. Purchased it in 1997 & it's been running ever since! The neon power indicator bulb works and is still bright. It's 3 stage mesh inlet, aluminium electrostatic and ionisation. The aluminium filter gets really dirty, capturing fine dust. Needs to be washed every 3-4 weeks. I added HEPA and a small ozone generator to the exhaust. Any suggestion for a unit? Medium sized room, approximately 250 2 ft.
