Funny animals and DIY Homesteading for beginners. Homesteading with a full-time job, how to make it work when you're not a full-time farmer/homesteader/random equipment mechanic. Homestead projects, improvements, and farm life tips I’m learning the hard way and sharing the easy way, from the backwoods of East Texas.
Enjoy watching my mistakes on DIY projects and raising farm animals, I’ll do mostly nothing the easy way, but I’ll make it work well in the end, and I’ll hopefully help you avoid some of the same trials and tribulations. Basically, I'll keep providing the ugly truths about homesteading.
My repair/build projects are 99% just me with no prior technical skills, or extra sets of hands. That said, my wife is a superwoman and helps around here more than most men could, she’s really the one raising these animals and children while I work my corporate America job, work the land, fix machines, and build stuff with things.

@@SuperDuperbunbun Thanks for the question! I hadn’t looked at it that way, but from what I’ve heard chickens do actually eat eggs sometimes. Ours must be too young, having never seen their own eggs before, because after this video we left the egg in their coop for 2 days and they still hadn’t touched it! I assume there’s something instinctual that happens once they start laying, that perhaps they eat their own eggs if there’s something not right about them. Now I need to look into it more! Ty!
