... After googling and RUclipsing overbrushing to find out what it is compared to drybrushing, I've come to the conclusion that overbrushing is simply... painting. Normal painting. Why do people try and make it sound like a fancy technique?

While not necessarily DA themed, the new sternguard vet kit is fantastic. You get so many bits left over. Ive been sprinkling them through out my army. Using the bodies as sergeants, weapons on characters, all the fancy scrolls and seals and shoulders. Great little kit

Deathwing Knights for Terminator characters. Chaplain, Librarian, Captains. Inner Circle Companions for Bladeguard Ancients, Ancients, Lieutenants, Captains, Techmarines, Bladeguard Sergeants, Hellblaster Sergeants, Chaplains, and Judiciars. Squig Hoppers for Watchers in the Dark to attach to your Ravenwing Bikes and Speeders. Horus Heresy Infantry box 20xMan, for your Ravenwing Bikes and Speeders. Then use the rest if it to add Bayonets and other blades and pieces to your infantry models. Upgrade sprues are, of course, useful. I used the old Vet and Terminator boxes to make firstborn librarians for Kill Team, played as Grey Knights. Phobos Kill Team box is an amazing kit. They may not be Dark Angel specific but they are always good on every Space Marine model. Desolator and Aggressor bits can also be used to upgrade infantry. Lastly, there are the Black Templars. They have lots of kits that work well with Dark Angels. Tabards on Infantry, scouts with Tabards, chained weapons for bikers and jump troops doesn't hurt either.

Using paperclip instead of making a big hole to fit a magnet is actually a genius idea. It keep the piece mosty instact, way fast and easier to do/cleanup.

Thanks for the vid Rob! I just bought a box of STD(?!) Chaos Warriors, as I'm looking to make some 30k era Knights of The Order. Heads, weapons, and shields are all getting swapped out for some 3rd party, Firstborn, and Guard bits. This guy looks like he might be good for a Knight of Lupus.

Really love what you did with the Sternguard color scheme, and the Ravenwing Infiltrator. I ended up putting all the Phobos armor in the 10th, with the tri-color scheme, but Ravenwing just makes sense.

Thanks for showing how the torso armour can be assembled off the body - I want to do a very different paint scheme to the rest of the body and was struggling to work out how to do the helmet matching the rest. I had been wondering what sub assemblies would work. And yes... posing is proving to be a challenge. Cheers!

Its funny when I was a kid I actually made my own texture paints before they were a thing haha, just used sand from myh driveway and some paint, then I would put primer over it... dunno why I did it that way or what my thought was but yeah I used primer to seal it back then.

Great tips! Never thought of using the underside of bases as quick palettes, or offsetting the mini on the base to get underneath. Going to try this scheme on a death guard kill Team 👍😀
