Generac no start, tips to get it going

In this video I deal with a genarator no start, this time it had a grounded switch not allowing the coil to fire. Check out Norms Channel at @truenorthliving9557 for some northern trapping adventures coming soon.
Measure your Bridger 160's
If u point the loaded blow gun down to the ground will the dart fall out or does it stay in?
It will slide out if you pass a certain point of angle toward the ground. There is a restrictor on the mouthpiece that will not allow the dart come out the back of the blowgun so you can lightly inhale with the dart in the tube to hold it in place for a steep angle then blow full force when you want to shoot.
You did a better job explaining things than the J30 people did.
@@66bigbuds thanks I appreciate that. Glad you found it helpful
You recommend changing the spark plugs about every three years or so. Like you say, it depends on how much you use your boat. So, how many “hours” would you put on that 60hp Mercury before changing the plugs? I only put about 4 or 5 hours a year on mine, which is why I would be looking at total hours instead of years.
You can put a lot of hours on those plugs, especially running at low load. At that amount of hours a year I would not worry about changing your plugs for a long while, I would just check one for gap. If your gap is increasing or the plug tip is rounding off then change them out.
good vidio,thanks for shareing
Nice one Paul. Everything will be using that by the time trapping season comes around
I’m hoping so Eddie, I might set a camera up it to see what’s using it.
Fun
Nice
Old school or not, I like it! 😁👍
Sometimes the old ways are the best Dave.
Thinking ahead my friend! That's how we do it. Take care Paul.
Thanks Todd, I may bait it throughout the year to encourage them to use it. Hope all is well on your end Todd,
Looks like you had yourself busy cutting up that tree, Paul. I remember reading about making the tree set years back. I think it was tom miranda , who wrote an article about that shitI think it was Tom Miranda, who wrote an article about that set. I used that set alot . I caught alot of coon using it along with possums, squirrels. 👍🏻 thanks for sharing buddy. Always enjoy watching your videos.
Thanks Skip, I’ve never tried one before and thought it was a good opportunity, i read about it in Hawbakers fur trapping years ago, I also seen Stew from coon creek set one up last season on a small line he had, I’m betting every grinner in that woods will get caught in it.
Quite a cunning plan Paul
I think it’s going to work Vinnie, probably catch nothing but squirrels
going to work , i see turds on log crossings a lot . everything uses them .
Thanks for the confidence vote Dan, I’m sure the fox will use it too. It was too good of a set up to pass up.
How did that work out. I’m a welder fabricator . I would love to see the design
Just built it from scratch, I made it from scrap pieces of steel I had laying around, I used a trailer jack for the lift but you could use an electric linear actuator if you feel like wiring one in. There are other food plot videos on my video list that show the tractor in use, I was pleased it done what I needed it to and just broke the surface of the ground to get the seed good soil contact. When I use it I just disconnect it from the lift and drag it to cut and level the ground I’m going to seed.
@@huntnfishnuts5880 ok I will watch your other videos
That's a beautiful stinker😂😂👍
Yes Sir, first one I had caught that was all white like that, a beauty.
Love the extra white on that pole cat 👍
Thanks Dave, that skunk was not only full white but he was not even stained , his fur was bright white.
a heck of a skunk , i would have had to keep that one .
Easily the best skunk I’ve ever caught, also a difficult decision to let him go, but hopefully he has offspring that are also full white. I caught one many years ago that was all black except for. White v on his head.
Hey Paul that's a nice looking raccoon. I wasn't aware of using body grip traps In a box outside a waterway. I'm going to need to get them dimensions from you so I can make a few up I plan on coming in December to trap bobcat and fisher
There’s a lot of rules for the cubby box Chip, it has to be placed within a water course that’s why I had it set by the creek within the area the creek can rise, the biggest trap I could use in the box was a 160, even then with a 50 square inch entrance you have to tilt the trap to put it in the box, if you check my video list a few seasons back I done a video on making this box. The trap has to be recessed way back in the box 7 inches in it also has to be anchored so if cannot get rolled over. For fisher you can use the box to hold a bait and then just use a foothold outside it too. It worked well with the 160 though.
The coon learned his lesson on dog-proofs, but the cubby was too much for him to resist 😁
Nice catch Paul. That box is well built. Wonder would that coon have been shy of the dp's if he did indeed get out of one?
Great job sir. Enjoyed it
Thanks Hunter, I guess my fisher box is also a coon box.
the scar on the foot was funny . nice coni box catch .
Thanks Dan and Judith, there’s a lot of rules for me to use a bodygrip on land above the size of a 110 so I was pleased I was able to make it work, loved the DP scar on the foot that was just a bonus. The fur on a January. Coon is very different to the fur on an October coon.
Thanks for watching, good luck with fixing your atv.
Best video ever.. going to trouble shoot mine thats been park for awhile
The rabbit wasn’t sticking around to visit 😂 Definitely challenging weather for your trap line
The weather was a big issue this season for sure Dave, thanks for watching.
Enjoyed it sir!!
Thanks Hunter , thanks for watching.
Many rabbits there Paul? Looks same species we have here
Yea that was a lovely fox. Lucky to get him with the bad weather conditions
I was glad to catch him Eddie, I honestly don’t think they like traveling in areas that are realy muddy. Been dealing with mud and flooding all season.
Nice one Paul. Its as wet here now, as it was in this video. Been a very wet winter here
Just have not had a sustained freeze here at all, it’s been mild with heavy rain, I’m just now seeing snow.
I know the feeling we’re on our 3rd day straight again of rain. But at least the temperature has been comfortable. Enjoyed it sir
Weather has been unpredictable for sure, lots of flooding and heavy rain, not a lot of snow but now they want a big storm to hit tonight might get over a foot again. Good luck with the coyotes Hunter.
that snow will show all the tracks . good luck on the sets .
Sure lets you see what’s moving around.
wish we would get some snow , i would like to mark the trails for snares .@@huntnfishnuts5880
that key does not actually hold the flywheel in the correct position. It's just a mounting aid. The flywheel is wedged into place with that bolt.
wau. I had also broken flywheel key in my Yamaha 450 grizzly. But it can affect valve timing? I don't understand now. doesn't the position of the flywheel only affect ignition timing?
Nice job sir!! Enjoyed it as always
Thanks Hunter, was a tough trapping season this year.
@@huntnfishnuts5880 the rain has been a problem here but I’ve had my best season with coyotes this year. Got #6 today
@@trophyhunter8615 that’s a great season 👍
Hey, Paul I hate when raccoons get in your good K9 sets. I try to always have a DP guarding it 95%.
I’ve got into that habit too Chip, il always try to guard dirt holes of flat sets with a DP on either side. This was a set just for coon, but you will see in a later videos had a fox and a cat pass this log and scent mark the end of this log.
Oh no! The tree stand took a hit!!! 😮
At least I was not in it at the time Dave 👍
Congrats on the first day catch! Beautiful red 👍
Thanks Dave, thanks for watching.
Nice sets. I think I watched a couple out of order. 😂
I’m surprised that set in the open field has not connected on anything, if was covered in snow for a while. I’ve been fighting flooding and mud all season.
Nice going buddy! I wish we could use cable restraint we are not allowed here just legholds . You always put up good videos with slot of great information. Damn sorry about your tree stand. I lost a ground this year do to high wind. Keep up the good work Paul. 👍🏻 Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Chip, I like using the cables, there quite effective in poor weather, I think they should just let us use them all season. Il fix up that tree stand better than new, I’ve lost : of them this season already from storms, one tree had the stand on it and crashed to the ground on top of the stand. Hope you had a good season, I’m off to the sports show in Harrisburg next week.
Nice job! I have yet to make a first night catch in a cable. Way to go.
Just got lucky 😝 usually they have to sit a while or I spend a week picking them up from deer knocking them over. Weathers been rough this season.
He didn’t waste any time
Nice one for sure Paul! Congratulations on the red fox! I've only caught 2 of those in my entire life. Take care my friend.
Thanks Todd, there’s no shortage of red fox here, I don’t see any grey fox in my area, the coyotes have not taken over like areas in the mid west, I’ve seen catches of 700 to 800 red fox in a season in the farmland to the southwest of me in Lancaster county. Take care Todd.
Thank you for sharing buddy! Good luck with everything my friend!
Thanks for watching Mark.
Sorry about your ladder stand but at least you got a beautiful fox. Great job sir
I can fix the tree stand Hunter, it’s the third one I’ve had broken this year due to trees falling on them. It was a nice fox, mg favorite animal to catch.
Nice work
Thanks for watching Tim.
Sweeeeeeeet 😁👍
Thanks Woody 👍
They are more skittish than beavers.
Thanks for the video. Have a '90s 350 BigBear with no start. Compression is there. Have had carb, cleaned and rebuilt. Strong spark. But no start. Beginning to think its timing and possible woodruff key as well.
I remember Gonzo. Good video
Ahh yes the good old days of RUclips, thanks for watching Tim
I do very much miss the old RUclips
I agree Vinnie, now if I show a knife or gun or even ammo you get treated like the witches of Salem.
No coffee but a good looking set! Hope your steel had (has) some action 👍
No coffee just peat moss Dave, thanks for watching.
