Fall Up | Making of the ALPHA-g animation and soundtrack
Making of the animation accompanying the Nature publication of the ALPHA-g experiment at CERN, showing for the first time ever that antimatter reacts to the Earth's gravitational field in the same way as normal matter. 3D animation made in Unreal Engine 5.
Music for the video written by Piotr Traczyk and performed live by a trio consisting of:
- Jeffrey Hangst (ALPHA experiment spokesperson) on guitar
- Piotr Traczyk on bass
- Chris Ørum Rassmussen (ALPHA experiment technical coordinator) on drums
additional synth programming and all the audio and video production by Piotr Traczyk

Hi Piotr, I'm a student who recently attended a program at CERN. I already enjoyed your lecture and asking you questions enough... but seeing this video after my return has me even more impressed! I find it hard to believe how you can be this cool as I'm a percussionist and music enthusiast as well. Maybe in the future if I came back to CERN again we could play a song together hahaha
