@@Clammy yh skyrim fixed it, but not in a good way imo. made it too simple, barely feels like an rpg anymore.

@Clammy in morrowind its the same but it isnt a problem because enemies dont scale to your level.

The problem is that when you level up since enemies also level up, if you dont do a perfect level up or near it the enemies get stronger than you, so by the end you are weaker vs your enemies than when you started. In morrowind since the enemies dont level up with you, you dont need to worry about perfect level ups since with enough levels you will surpass any enemy.

I never played Half Life - would you recommend?

​@@Clammy Oh god. HL1 - yes but beware the last 4 chapters are turboass. HL2 - Yes but might be a bit of a slog sometimes HL2 E1 - worst Source HL game but short and still good HL2 E2 - Y E S Half Life MMod - A mod for the source versions of HL, I recommend you try the OG but I only ever play with MMod now, changes guns, makes all bullets projectile-based not hitscan, improves enemy AI. All of this is optional and toggleable in the settings, including some effects. Really neat overall. Black Mesa - ...Yes but a lot of the level design was changed after the Xen update and for the worse. Still worth it, but I do recommend checking out mods that revert it. Also the Interloper chapter is ass, better than anything Xen-related in HL 1 but still ass, and long. The bossfight after it is worth it though. Overall If you don't like HL1, Black Mesa can be a good alternative. As for Opposing Force and Blue Shift, never played them. Heard bad things about Blue Shift. And HL Source allegedly sucks ass as well, that's why Black Mesa was made in the first place lol.

Yeah, Halo still holds up, especially if you're playing them in order the story just hooks you.

I've got the master chief collection mate yes - its got every halo game!

Don't get me wrong - a part of my childhood was this game, but I just can't give it 100% of the credit playing it in 2025! It will always be nostalgic for me though!

@ I miss battlefield man, 3-4 were so good, bad company 2 as well. halo fell off after reach but i still go back and play the old ones from time to time.

@@Clammy The classics have to be the likes of Halo, maybe just because of how revolutionary it was coupled with the xbox coming out. Then i'd say the classics get discussed: crash bandicoot, tomb raider, final fantasy etc. Then Skyrim, the last of us, dark souls franchise, god of war, just so many legendary games Never played the getaway, but I did used to play a game called destruction derby or something, was an old racing game, remember it being awesome but that was to a childs mind so potentially it was awful lmao

@@Clammy Look up elder scrolls oblivion remake - it's rumoured to be getting a release in 2025, i've never played it but it was the inspiration for Skyrim so if it actually happens it would be brilliant

Storylines in single player campaigns, Multiplayer Modes (even though most were simple!) and the overall content was just better - modern games are filled with micro-transactions & DLCs that aren’t even half polished that give barely anything to the game in my opinion. What was your favourite game growing up?
