The batteries are removable for charging or replacement. Carrying a spare set of batteries would extend the range if they are reasonably priced.

Love the "New Sleeker" look of the 2024 HRV

The thing is (and I am a Mazda MX-30 owner in a small country in Scandinavia, where they are doing way better), in the US. these cars don't fit in at all, the country and distances are just too big. But there are serious upsides to this totally misunderstood car, first one - it weights MUCH less, so you're not hauling around TONS of batteries (which btw. also costs you extra energy). Second one - it's way faster to charge a small battery, it's cheaper to replace (and unlike engine technology in an Combustion engine) your car will live longer because batteries can be replaced! You won't have service fees as there literally are no service (try googling how many of these falls apart unlike Teslas, you will struggle to find ONE). Yes, this was a far-fetched efford by Mazda, especially in the US. I can't fathom why they'd even try to sell it over there, too far distances.

Since you brought up the comparison between the Challenger and the Chiron, the Chiron can do the sprint basically everywhere, without a perfect surface, perfect temperature and so on. But the 170, and the Challenger in general, are so badass(even when it's standing still), that nothing can compare against it. I would have that car over so many cars out there, and this is coming from a Scandinavian guy : nobody makes cars like the US, and no engine can stand against an American V8. God Bless America ❤
