Well, from the patient POV the lens swapping thing is frustrating in the extreme because it is almost never possible to actually say which is better, at best slightly, often not at all, and the outcome is often glasses that make no improvement. I recognize this is just the limitations of where we are, but hope for real custom scanning and treatment methods someday. I felt the patient's reply to the cataract surgery keenly too. Do doctors just get desensitized to the terror aspect?
Sometimes Mr Onerous brings in his whole family. Even if you are as polite as Dr Exemplary here, This is also often the source of complaints against you. I never was able to accurately describe this experience in the past, I simply said I had a really bad day today. I can finally show my wife what I’ve meant by that.
This is eerily accurate. I feel bad because these patients don't understand what is happening but they ask the same questions and get upset when we can't help them. Teens who think know more than the Drs and elderly patients are the worst.
My dad is an optometrist, and I've been with a few of his patients helping out. When they are like this, I just wanna yell out: "YOU ARE AN IDIOT!" Awesome video!
I LOVE this. This represents about 25% of my patients. I'm convinced that they get together and refer each other to me. They are the full moon crowd and I love 'em.
