Becky’s Gardening
Добавлен 14 мар 2014
Gardening ideas and design for the beginner home gardener. Learn what plants will work best in your space. It can be intimidating to walk through a garden center and choose what will actually look great, and LIVE! Plants can be very expensive, and we don’t want to fail, lose money, or waste our precious time. I have failed, and it has broken my heart when a plant hasn’t flourished for me, like it has for another. Is that jealousy? Absolutely! So, let’s explore how to make our yards the envy of the neighborhood!

My corner in late March

My pretty corner, all dressed up for Spring. Next weekend is Easter. I love the hops vine on my arbor, but it’s a vigorous spreader. I dug it all out on the left side and put some in a container. A new layer of mulch and she’s ready for the Easter bunny. #beckysgardening #cascadehops #newdawnrose #roseofsharon
Grass plan, again

I’m attempting to get something green to grow where we should have grass! I hope to post a video later in the year of the same spot only with grass, wish me luck.
Becky’s Gardening 2023

These pictures are all taken from my property from the beginning of 2023, into February 24. I have grown a lot this past year, with gardening and my own mental health. We have really struggled to keep grass growing consistently in our yard. I have plenty of beautiful plants though! We lost my favorite dog before Thanksgiving, and everyone was devastated. So we adopted a new puppy. I’m starting ...

Side path in August
Просмотров 1,5 тыс.Год назад
August 2023 of walking up the side of our house. I have no idea what I might be saying. I just wanted to upload something pretty on a cold January day.
I also have grown and cross pollinated pepper plants since 2020. I crossed a Bell with a Jalapeno and in Summer 2021, I grew out my first hybrids of these two. I have a video on youtube where these fruits are in the youtube thumbnail in Summer 2022. My oldest plants are now from 2022 but not sure if they'll survive the winter again even inside the greenhouse.
❤❤❤beautiful show
This video is exactly backwards. I am not going to redo it! So, it’s December 23 to January 23. Hope anyone who watches enjoys the show. Thank you!
👍❤️
Very pretty ❤
All peppers are perennial!! Even Capsicum annuum!
Gosh, this really got you Fired up 😂 I consider things annual if it doesn’t survive the winter outdoors. If I left it outside, it would die and not come back in the spring. Yes, I understand that it could live outside in a warmer climate. Call it what you want! I call it annual. I’m just a backyard gardener, and not a botanist or horticultural expert 😂
Didn’t mean to sound hostile if it did, but yeah they’re annual if they aren’t in their native climate
Anilife style
Beautiful 😊
❤❤❤great sharing 😊
Cosmos, not zinnias 😂
Funny, i noight mine tok because it was supposed to be an everbloomer... and it definitely is not. Huge spring flush and thats it. Ima try lop her down 2/3 and see if she blooms again later but I doubt it.
I learned a secret to make it bloom CRAZY. Weave the stems around so they are getting bent kinda. All the bendy spots will sprout little stems that are basically just blooms. This year, I plan on chopping about 2/3 off my new dawn. She got humongous.
Interesting. I am planning to cut mine back a lot too. Mine has stretched over the fence and tried to go crazy!
Greetings from Ireland, Beautiful Garden, its the bees knees.
Thanks so much. Ireland? That’s awesome! I’ve been to Scotland and England, but not yet Ireland. Maybe someday.
I have no idea why this entire video is so unclear. That’s a first for me. I have a new iPhone and figured it would be an awesome video today. I hope that anyone who is able to watch the entire video will forgive me 😊.
My favorite pepper. I over-wintered mine and got dozens. Now going back outside in two weeks.

Nice
Our grass consists of mostly weeds that are green in the Spring and brown in the summer. Living in a rural area the weeds overtake everything. Hope this works for your grass.
Thank you. I hope so too.
Your garden is so beautiful especially the roses! Thank you so much for sharing your 2023 garden.

Your tomatoes look good. Mine are miserable this year. 😢 But I'll keep on trying.
Do they like full sun or part shade? And what zone are you in? Lovely garden…..❤❤❤❤
Full sun. I’m in zone 7b. I chose it because it was supposed to bloom all summer, but this one doesn’t. ☹️
