I own the large Pyrite, drop point steel framed and Micarta version that preceded the extra large version you are showing here. Also own the Pyrite lite. Couple of very good knives. Not a fan of the second lock on this new one. It looks like it's too close to the primary lock and might get pressed during the closing disengagement. AR-RPM9 steel is good stuff, holds a good edge for a bit. Thanks for your review.

Plastic washers are the way to go; metal washers can cut into the barrel or the barrel cap. On my lortone, I used a piece of plastic cutting board as my guides. I just used a hole saw to cut them out and then heated the new cut guides to smooth the edges. It worked really good after that.

I personally like the smaller one better. The XL seems huge. So you can buy the smaller for $30 and the bigger for around $50. Depends on the colors you want.

Think it's the torque pulling naturally to one side. Yeah, those washers must not be good. Don't know of something off the shelf (store bought) to screw into the existing frame. Have only seen people not worry about it until the rollers/barrel needs to be replaced. There has to be a drum centering kit that is adjustable with bearings. I tend to over engineer things lol

If anyone has an idea what I can use for a barrel guide, please let me know. I'm thinking about using the metal washer instead of the plastic washer. I got my acid reflux medication today. Good news for me! 😊
