THE LIFE of ERNEST HEMINGWAY
Просмотров 6113 года назад
You may know him as the author of novels such as 'For Whom the Bell Tolls' and 'The Old Man and the Sea'. Yet Ernest Hemingway's greatest story was his own life. For war, he was bestowed an Italian War Merit Cross and a Bronze Star. For literature, he was commended with nothing less than a Nobel Prize. Hemingway's story is one of heroism and masculinity, and far more detailed then I could ever ...

Shoulda seen them in march. 4r yrz ago on an old mob, i had a wee thing written, as an opening page. Chaka khan, Tara-Johan, La, La,La,La. The latter being a wee ode to simple mindz. Ken the pandemic was in it n that, but a mind, shane, ot guy, who was helping wi stuff b4r i was leaving hospital, saw it. He obvz new what the la, la, la, la, la, was from when i sang it, i was like hope they play the hydro when this corona stuff is over. Missed out on moz 2022, U2 at sphere, woulda deffo, paid over the oddz, due to being un ok, due to a drz two errorz, in 2021, n hearing of my fatherz passing. Got myself better for his memory, hadn't seen him for a while b4r he passed. Fit ready to leave hospital, dr said mid dec 2021, then fecked up again b4r i was due home, dnt gt home tl march 2022, not ok. So what should have been 2.9yrz of home ok reconciling with my family, has turned into 2.6yrz of hell, and not reconciling with my family. Would have seen manicz nd suede at edinburgh castle also, texas at the wknd, jst passed. Crowded house, nxt month. Oh ok, mb al manage to see paul heaton in december. No out the woodz yet. N if i get to carry on regardless, mb al gt to see coldplay at wembly nxt year. God bless. Amen

Thank`s for this interesting Video. My wife and I met Jim 2023 at his Hotel in Taormina (Sicily) and we had a smalltalk for 15 minutes. He is a really very friendly and relaxed person. We hope that Jim, like his Idol Peter Gabriel at the time, will still be on stage at 74. Greetings from Northern Germany.

I was there - Blur was £1.99 or thereabouts - and Oasis cost £3.99 to buy - EMI did a deal where the record shops got 1 copy of Blur and 2 copies for free - whereas Oasis was full price per unit - ergo - Blur's song was a lot fucking cheaper to buy in Woolworths

Boys and Girls was the breakout hit for me when i started to dj house parties and dive bars in Chicago in the early 2000s. My Punk and Soul nights slowly began to incorporate britpop because of this. Parklife will always have a special place in my heart. However, Out of Time from Thinktank and Pyongyang from the Magical Whip have become my overall favorites

I’ve always had a major appreciation for Damon, as his work on Gorillaz was what inspired my middle self to finally start making music. So much of how I approach composition today can be directly linked back to him.

"I ended up being a milkman in it." - Graham Coxon, 3862 Days. That doesn't sound like the words of someone insistent on wearing a milkman outfit. However, the Universal Graham apparently only did 1 day of shooting (i believe it was a 3 day shoot) and then locked himself in his trailer with his gf. My source on this is director, Jonathan Glazer who proclaimed there are stand ins at points in the video.

His realtionship with founding members of SM is disgraceful i listened to a interview with Brian last night and its heartbreaking his physical and mental condition when he left the band in 1981 and he overreacted to the sacking of DF what the fook was he thinking !! and Mick had enough by 1990 its no longer a band its a karaoke machine !

I tend to agree with you on a few points.. they are my favourite band of all time… however I got sick and tired of the constant turnover of band members.. that could of been for many reasons but you do hear things of Jim being difficult at times.. now when I see them I think fair play to Jim and Charlie for still having the energy and enthusiasm to keep going.. but I just can’t warm to other session musicians that come and go.. for me the last line up I did like was the period that Malcom foster was on bass.. that line up was the last I warmed to.. still I guess we all get older and nothing stays the same

I have been to many of their concerts, Seeds of Love Tour being the most memorable.
