Well I'm a young teen boy and I had just learned that I had 6 months to live well I would spend the rest of my days like it was my last but I wouldn't be afraid of death it just destiny I would cuddle everyday with my gf spend all the time I had left with that family I would skip my classes to go see my gf in her classes and help her and love her then I would tell my step dad when I got the news that I had however months I had left and let him know cause I trust my step father so that would be it I would take my gf on dates every weekend and spend all the time I had left with family and on the last day I would tell all of my friends and family and that would be it for me and I'm scared of death I'm just scared that my family would miss me so yay bye.

Only if my parents actually cared about me to this to me.. for them breaking the cycle is being harder on them, I have 2 siblings but still everything is on my shoulder now I feel I will not do a good job as a parent myself when I grow older. All they do is try make me perfect and a lady-like girl with perfect grades and all of that but if they want me to be like that they should respect ne like I respect them they act nice around everyone else but me it's like in just a maid for them they always spoil my other siblings but me they want me to open up to them but they make me scared of them, like my opinion doesn't matter and I have to become what they want.. the fact my friends think my parents are the best ever but I just can't even tell my friends what's going on.. I wish could tell my parents what I just wrote down..

Yep, that's true. Yet, every generation is different. I was raised I the generation where children were seen not heard. Beatings with belts, pans, branches, rulers, and even bullwhips. So, I had to tell my children I was sorry. I tried to break the cycle. It's hard you don't have time with your children & when grandchildren are born you realize all your mistakes. Being a single woman raising 4 children having to bury one of those children at 10 years old, it's like a lightbulb goes off & you change. Don't forget where you came from, but strive for a better you.
