In the year 1976,on 15th august within a disturbed political environment the drama group named Ashani was born.Then Kasba was politically massacred.Standing on that situation another leadership of Shyamal Das,Ashani started its journey to bring back the healthy cultural environment.Through these dramas our aim was to bring back the aberrant youth to the main streams.Besides drama ww organize all Bengal Cultural competitions like songs,recitations,drawings,etc.but at we are forced to our group because of financial crisis.
