Men buy homes for their families where he and his wife contribute toward paying off the home while single women buy homes as if it's a flex trying to prove that they're "strong, independent and dont need a man."

It sucks that one black tenant so terrible, it makes you as a black person want to discriminate against all black people when white people never start discriminating against all white people on behalf of one bad white tenant. This is why I rent through section 8, the tenants don’t want to mess up their vouchers so they do what they are supposed to do. I get my rent on time and don’t have to worry about evictions.

Vet all possible tenants, but also as a property owner, it is your responsibility to ensure that your property is habitable. Any infestations, repairs, patch and paint issues should be handled before opening your property up to the public. Both parties are at fault.

I'm black and renting from a black Landlord. He has all these standard I have to meet in order to be qualified. Yet I met all the requirements and he's still f*kcing hovering around the property everyday like a manic. I agree with some of these Tenants to tear up the property because I understand how some of these Scumlords cam be

When I first started out as a landlord, I was very inexperienced. I had an older couple who paid the rent on time, but the older couple allowed their daughter to move in with them. The older daughter got kicked off of section 8, and she had 2 kids with another one on the way. My older couple decided to move out, but they decided to let the daughter take over the lease. The older couple assured me that the daughter could handle rent. I trusted them, because I foolishly became very friendly with the old couple. The daughter couldn't pay the first month rent and asked the rent to be lowered, so I asked her to leave. Then, she threatened to take legal action on me about lead paint, even though my unit was inspected. I hired an eviction to mediate the matter. We did a cash for keys agreement. After she finally left, she left rotten in my cabinets, and she left baby potty trainer full of poop inside. After that, I became more strict on screening applicants. Never again. Now, I don't do subleasing, and I stay away from applicants with an eviction history. If an applicant slips thru the cracks and try to get over on me, I make sure to put an eviction on his or her record, so that other land lords know to stay away. Lastly, many property managers in my area have to taken to court by landlords or running a property management company under a different alias to avoid detection by the IRS for not paying taxes, so I manage the property myself.

I have lived in my home since 2007..new structure. I will done paying in 6 years and love it..I have replaced things like new kitchen and new HVAC system and roof over time. I live within my means and it enables me to save money and live comfortably. Yes insurance and taxes are ridiculous but I still wouldn’t trade it for renting ❤

After renting to tenants for now 6 years I hate long term tenants! I’ve had top tier and bottle of the barrel tenants. They’re all nasty. Hell I hate my own family members cleanliness lol…….people are just nasty 🤢 lol I have transitioned to short term now. Yes they can be nasty as well but they just don’t have enough time typically. I’m slowly getting out of long term games and doing short only. At least it more money also. You have to do more work and money up front but it’s less stressful in the long run.

There is satellite video footage of 150 emergency homes sitting in TX that were supposed to go to NC/SC/GA via FIMA and they were redirected to TX. Don't know who did it, but the group delivering the temp/emergency shelters only let 50 homes make it to those states and the others. As for in GA, there was a truck that showed up to deliver generators, a bunch of people ambushed the driver and before those that were coming out to unload the truck these people, several trucks - they stole the generators and took off. They seemed to know where "cctv" was cause there license plates were covered or removed. There was a lot of folks that abused the situation in all the states, overcharging for things as well as there were groups that did the same, they redirected food, goods and made sure that the places where goods were being distributed weren't were the most vulnerable were at... we were over 8 miles away or farther and no one in our household had transport to get to those places.

I’ll never understand how people can leave a place like pure filth. Even if I got behind on my rent I’m not about to trash a place!! No class at all.

Mold starts because of water intrusions, his house has a leak some where. The mold upstairs on the ceiling leads me to believe he had an issue with the roof leaking, he also had mold in the downstairs in the closet which confirms his house has leaks that caused the mold to grow and from the looks of the mold on the ceiling and how it perfectly followed a straight line in my opinion that was a recent repair and they didn't use mold resistant drywall tape and he could have added an additive to the paint to help mitigate the growth of mold. Meaning he house has a mold issue and he didn't abate it properly. He's probably an up an coming slumlord who didn't do a background check on his new tenants. It's called Karma my boy take care of your mold issue before you rent to anybody else!!!

I’m not saying it’s not shotty work but I can tell you from experience that builders often set their own price with contractors that they are willing to pay for any particular trade.. which is usually lower than the low bidder in exchange for “getting the contract”.. then after the contractor has taken his share off the bone they leave nothing but scraps for the subs doing the actual work and the subs need to figure out how to do it and still make a living.. and it’s just a domino effect from cheap unskilled labor to cheap materials.. so you see shit rolls down hill This happens nationwide

I’m a first generation homeowner after watching my mom lose her multi family after 2 years. Nothing is easy. Read that again. Having nothing is easy. Having a home is repaying yourself. Otherwise, you are living to work. A home is your work paying you back. When you retire, it will take care of you. Fix it, remodel, one door and windows at a time, protect it at ALL COST. Decide whether its an generational asset or an investment. Homeownership is a business venture. Get into it!

He doesn’t even know if these people lived there or if they had other people in there, his frustration is understandable but his comment about black people is a tell about him. He wanted to get someone in there quickly, greed and he didn’t get a professional to do a proper background check and make sure the rent was paid on time 5 months is too long to wait for rent

The first thing he said was true I knew I should have gone to professionals! Trying to rent property on your own to save money doesn’t work. And saying that I will never rent to black people demonstrates that you think white wouldn’t do the same thing but you are also demonstrating self hate. I hope this person can get all of his money and more but also work on his spirit
