Transfer to UC Berkeley (UCSB to CC to UCB)
Today I am joined with my friend Kelly as she tells her transfer story. She started her freshman year at UCSB and decided to go to a CA community college after one quarter. During her sophomore year, she applied to transfer to UC schools and by spring quarter, she committed to UC Berkeley.

Can I go to a community college in cali even though I live out of state. To take advantage of TAP?
very helpfull !!
I am currently attending a cal state but my dream school is UCLA. However, I am already going to complete my sophomore year this semester, Do you think transferring to a community college for my junior year and doing the TAP program would be a good idea to get into UCLA for my senior year at least. PLS if anyone can assist with this question that be so helpful I am so confused on what to do lol.

Congrats!! are you able to tell me what questions are asked in the Common App for transfer students?
Tuition >60k /year....undergraduate degree?....what a waste!
Why did you decide to transfer in one year?
For transferring I heard that you have to KNOW what you wanna get into so I’m wondering how you went through this process to think up? I wonder if this affects my fafsa..
Obssessed with these interviews 💗
Thank you for posting ! I gonne show my 7th grader this video , he has bigger dreams but I want him to face the reality of how fierce the competition is now , and especially in the future
Do you know how much IB credit counts for ?
Thank you for this video
this fall (2022) is my first year at uh manoa, and i think i’m going to transfer after spring semester. When should i start to apply to other colleges if I don’t have any transcripts / grades yet?
I heard from a CC counselor that there is a difference in transferring with 24 units vs. 60 units. Do ;you know what they're talking about?
Hi guys, First of all, thank you so much for both of you. Both of you worked so hard for the video and spent your valuable time on the people, especially the students like me who had no idea about community college and the transfer process. Now I have two questions for NICOLE because I am going to my local community college (LACC)the next Fall semester and want to major in psychology. UCLA is my dream school. I had no AP credit because I am an immigrant student(came last year to the USA). So my number 1 question is do I need to take a counseling class as a first-semester student? I talked to my counselor(I didn’t like her planning though) and she suggested taking two counseling classes, one psych class, and one English class for Fall. But I want to take math and bio class instead of counseling. And my number 2 question is Can I get your educational plan? because I think it will be very helpful for me if I get an educational planner from a student who transfers to UCLA as a psych major Like the classes you have taken besides AP credit. ( I want to know what classes you have taken to fulfill 90 qt units.).I want to mention that I want to transfer in two years.
Omg I love you guys thanky you so much.
Tysm for all the info you two are really sweet!!
What is minimum Requirement can you transfer in 3 years I’m taking classes pretty slowly to not overwhelm myself. Do you think they’ll accept me?
Thank you so much for your help <3
Did you know any transfers who got in with like a 3.7?
hi, can i transfer to USC for my spring semester (freshman year). i currently go to a private non-profit (so basically not a community college) is that possible?
your transfer videos have been so helpful for me! thank you sm :,)
Omg this is a sign BC I go to cpp & my dream school is usc so I’m fs gonna do it thank y’all 😊
Hii i just wanted to know if it was possible to transfer to UCLA as a freshman ( if I complete around33 credits my first year) in the arts and architecture department or not
Which community college you were?
I am attending Cal Poly Pomona and, I was wondering a few questions. How did you guys know which classes to take that would also transfer over to USC/UCLA since there isn't an "ASSIST" equivalent to this process? Also, am I able to transfer only by reaching the required prerequisites for USC/UCLA or, would I also be required to finish all the GEs required by Cal Poly Pomona?
im not sure about ucla but usc has a transfer planning guide & articulation agreement for four year universities! im at a four year currently and the transfer planning guide has helped me so much with planning my classes
Does USC offer full scholarships for transfer students?
No but they are generous in terms of scholarship money if you are lower income. At least that's my expirence.
Thank you so much! It was very useful
Good lord she talks too too much girl in white almost 18 min... 😬
Off topic but I love your jacket- where did you get it? 😅
Is it possible to still transfer in one year without having any prior units through ap classes in high school
Chiii 📚
Any advice to fight against CC Stigma.
Hi, do you know if it's hard for sophomore transfers to get on-campus housing? I really want to live on-campus, but I'm not sure if I would get on-campus housing. Do you have any tips or ideas on what I should do to get on-campus housing? Thank you so much!

I'm planning on talking the CHSPE as a sophomore, then doing 2 years of CC, then hopefully transferring to UCBerkeley or USC. Do you think you'll make any CHSPE videos?
i’m interested in this too
Hey, I needed some advice on whether I should apply to transfer from my UC to USC or go to CC for spring and then apply to transfer?
This is very helpful! I don’t know why this doesn’t have more views
Does USC care about which college you transfer from? Or can it be any college anywhere in the states?
hey girl! I just transferred to Marshall after a year at CC. Any tips? Also, I've been thinking of switching to the IRGB major. Do you know anything about it/ have any advice? Loved the video btw!
Hi Juliet! Congratulations! I know quite a few people who are IRGB majors and I was actually thinking of becoming one myself! I decided to stick with IR and pick up a minor in Marshall instead because I wanted to take more IR classes. With IRGB, half of your classes are in Dornsife and half are in Marshall. So it honestly depends on what you want to do. I think if you are interested in IR but still want to be partially in Marshall then IRGB is the way to go! If you do decide to switch, on your diploma it will only say IR and will not say IRGB so that's something to keep in mind. If you have any more questions, I'd love to answer them. Feel free to dm me on insta @sydolay. Can't wait to see you around campus and hopefully we'll have some classes together! :))
Hey! I’m applying to usc a sophomore transfer this year. Is it more difficult to transfer as a sophomore than a junior? I’ll be transferring with around 36 units (40 units including my AP score)! My HS stats weren’t bad, 3.85 weighted, 3.69 uw. I also asked my admission counselor if I need to send my sat and he said no! My sat was an oof 1250 superscore 💀😂. Also what extra curriculars would you recommend while we’re in corona season! Thanks 👍

hey!! I’m also a college freshman right now planning to transfer to USC!
Sydney makes some awesome points! If you want the view of 3 different students on transferring watch this vid: ruclips.net/video/P0gBeNVWUZI/видео.html
