On our flight from Belgium to Australia the first thing we bought when landed was a Thetford toilet. In Belgium we say good advice is half the work. During our roadtrip from Brisbane to Weipa we never had to get out of the car and search for a toilet. Our Thetford toilet saved us time and money and at the last day of our holiday we sold it to local resident. Never forget to buy a Thetford toilet on your journey to Australia.

I can see blue flame and the igniter keeps in firing for about 30secs and the Fridge just turns off, no flame , i reset by turning off and back on again it repeats the same process aftter 9 times i gave up what could it be ? I see the blue flame but the igniter keeps firing when there is no need the flame is strong but shuts off after 30secs

I got them apart, thank you very much. So I am trying to put the two halves together; the flush valve that you pull out from the front will not come out. How and what am I doing wrong trying to reattach the halves. I'm in the US. Please and thank you. I got it! I watched another vid where the front is put in place first then the back end sets in place. I did it that way and it worked the first time and when tested, the flush valve worked perfectly.

I am pushing my lever to the side to separate the bottom tank from the top seat because I need to empty it, and it is not coming apart. What do I need to do? I have spent the last 23 minutes trying to do this. Please help.

I returned home from a trip and prior to removing it from the camper for dumping and cleaning, I flushed it. The water on top of the flapper shot up into my face and the disgusting smell of methane filled the air! What the hell! I had used it the day before and flushed it with no problems. Does camper movement cause toxic fumes to build up pressure? Need a warning label placed on it then stating not to flush it after transporting in moving camper! Anyway, this tutorial is wrong on why you push the little white button prior to dumping. You push prior to removing the dump drain cap, to relieve the methane pressure so that you don’t get blasted by poopy water when you remove the dump drain cap. Oh and I recommend you use a standoff stick to push the relief valve button, unless you like a stinky methane finger!

What are the active ingredients in the aqua Kim blue or lavender? I don’t have access to that at Walmart, is there another cleaning product like vinegar or baking soda that I can put in there?

I have a new 16 month old Thetford 274 ltr 12 volt fridge, and an error code of 88 has come up, I have turned it off and pulled the fuse and still not go. Just keeps beeping and switches its self off and on to the error code. Turned it off and have to head home from Melbourne to Brisbane, Not good to travel over Easter, So will be contacting the dealer on Tuesday.

Due to a plugged up sewer and a lazy landlord, I've been using a 165 (first time I've ever owned a portable toilet) for the past month, and what isn't described by any of the documentation is, how awful the first experience is when emptying the thing!!! I thought the blue stuff was meant to deal with all the waste in terms of "digesting" it or something, but, oh my goodness that was an awful mess, nearly lost my lunch.......... :S

Hi, we have been using the 165 model for 5 yrs now and very happy with it and your video just came up on my suggested viewing list. One question I have is, how much chemical do you use. I have seen videos from the US that say 2ozs chemical to 4ozs water. My bottle says 150m water to 1.5 - 3 L of water? In this video you say that 50m is enough? Which is correct? We only use Thetford chemicals.
