SCAD heart attack survivor 4/6/22. Healthy, vegan, 57, single Mom of 4 young adults and lost Dad to pancreatic cancer the prior year and took care of him...stressful job, too. Had no cholesterol blockages. No stent inserted in arterial artery. Aunt had multiple brain/next aneurysms. Mom had a minor stroke end of last year. Daughter diagnosed with inflammatory disease, has migraines, pain in limbs, muscles....connective tissue disorder? FMD? Still on the mission to figure out why she seems to have POTS and disabling pain. She's only 27, can't work, no disability income....could this all be related? I seem to have blood vessel tortuosity. Also a narrowing of blood artery to stomach and other nearby organs.

Great! Thank you for sharing your knowledge of fmd. My private suggestion is to put some subtitles for the future capture, that people from abroad who doesn't understand English well could have a background to read it later or drop into the translator if something would have not been well understand from hearing.

Hello Edelweiss - sorry to hear your story. We have not heard of any connection between the Flu Vaccine and FMD, and we are not aware of any research regarding this. Best wishes.

Hi I’m curious as I first developed symptoms for FMD soon after having a flu vaccination in 2001. I was extremely sick after the vaccination, losing the strength in my left arm and it impeded my ability to walk. My legs would freeze and I’d have to use my hand to physically lift my leg to initiate movement. This went on for about 4 weeks. My blood test showed ganglia cells and I was told that something was attacking my cells. What percentage of people with FMD have had a flu vaccination and has this ever been looked into as having any relation to FMD?
