NALA TRACK CLUB - Kenyan all girls running club - Short Film
Nala Track Club is a female empowerment movement in the heart of Kenya, led by Mary Ngugi Cooper.
The all girls track club provides scholarships for talented girls from all corners of Kenya to assist in their track and field aspirations, as well as providing them education and mentorship in a holistic, empowering manner.

A short film on the girls of Nala Track Club's morning run in Nyahururu, Kenya. The girls have to get their run in early before school, so they leave before the sun comes up and watch the sun rise during their 1 hour run before classes begin. Footage was shot on a Sony FX3.

@@mary_ngugi_cooper Good I was with her over the weekend at Ngong recourse and saw some of these girls winning and I was impressed... Continue with the great work I know I will support you in the future and keep pushing the brand brand unfortunately the videos I took I am not sure if some of the girls are featured I could have shared with you.
Great filming/editing. I like the rythmic sound of the shoes hitting the ground. Very inspiring to watch, I would like to try those drills myself!

There is something about the sand of feet hitting the sand tracks which is wonderful!
@@miketomkins5171 when we edited it we just thought we’d keep it simple and try to make you almost feel / hear like you are there with us ! Hope it worked sort of 😂
