I use the addon BigWigs for my boss fight timers, I also use a raid weakaura pack from Causese that adds a couple of nice timers and icons that i like Heres the raid weakaura pack: wago.io/V1wblU7RH

Im glad i could help! Theres some mistakes to make when it comes to gearing, but definitely be sure to review over your logs to make sure youre performing your rotation correctly too! Comparing yourself to someone doubling your damage on the same class can be a useful tool!

Im not sure how id begin to explain looking through logs, a lot to do with different classes and tons of stuff, www.archon.gg/wow/articles/help/getting-started Here is the start of the help article from warcraftlogs, which is a site people use to upload logs from the in-game combat logging, all of your casts/damage/buffs/etc. are all tracked and you can compare yourself to any other logs that are performing better than you, This article will explain how to do everything from combat log your own fights, as well as how to navigate through all of the menus and see your stuff! Hope this gets you started in the right direction!

Thank you! Im currently using my own weakauras i created, i will be releasing these along with my whole ui shortly. In the meantime however, i would highly recommend atrocity's ui, thats what i modeled mine after, although i do have differences from his. Theres also a couple free public ones i've tried out before and used to use: wago.io/LuxthosRogueWarWithin Luxthos -i used this one when i first started, luxthos has all classes/specs and theyre great starting places from what ive experienced. wago.io/ByzCxPq-m Devlin -i swapped to this one around s2 of dragonflight, but swapped off onto what i use atm at the start of s3 wago.io/s2JVzLWHs Lisonna -not as intuitive for newer players or learning, but lisonna was one of the ones i tested before just deciding to make my own, shes got some sick standalone weakauras that ive modified for my own stuff like the envenom bars, imp garrote tracking, and when kingsbane was more involved, she created the kingsbane timeline i used to use. For the vanish, you dont want to apply your mark again after your opener, there used to be a tiny thing where we could ambush with darkest night, but we can no longer consume marks while darkest night is up, so its not worth it. The important part of vanish is to have the master assassin buff for the last 6 seconds of your CDs since thatll be the part where your kingsbane is stacked the highest. Shiv timing is basically refresh as soon as the first one drops off, then garrote just reapply with improved garrote after you vanish.

@zachojwow I got a question: how do you handle Deathstalker's Mark not transferring to certain targets during intermissions or when the Deathstalker's Marked target isnt targetable and you dont have stealth? For example: Court during intermission Ulgrax after intermission Queen at/after intermission I feel like this is such an insane oversight. Surely we arent supposed to stop envenoming just to not apply DM if we have darkest night proc, so we can apply on a target that spawns in later, right?

@@BreakingTheGleipnir I remember answering this for you during my stream this weekend, but for anyone else wondering: Sadly, yes the best way we have to combat this is to make sure we have darkest night up when you either see a transition timer happening in a couple of seconds or you anticipate a boss %HP transition. Making sure we have that is a lot of damage, and will just feel bad sometimes when you have to hold off on consuming it. One thing i mentioned was this only really can come from experience or a ton of preparation on a fight, knowing that a boss will remove your mark is just something youll have to remember and plan for. @@Ogorth my ui is something ive made myself from Shadowed Unit Frames and a couple of other addons focusing on performance, and the weakauras are mine as well. Ive based my stuff HEAVILY on atrocity's ui, so if you want something thats like this and is out now, id reccomend his stuff, its all elvui on his end. I plan to release my ui once ive gotten it all sorted out, as well as just polishing up a few parts, so if thats something youre interested in, im getting that going behind the scenes!

This could be a ton of different things, gear, talents, raidbuffs, procs, sequencing, so dont look too deep into the specific numbers But it is good to notice something could be different in your own play, im working on a series to explain everything to do with assassination rogue, the first episode being the absolute basics, then ill get into the cooldowns and rotation stuff, then deeper into the advanced things you can do to step up your game! I have a mediocre pc and i used to use atrocity ui, but swapping off of elvui i gained so much responsiveness and framerate, I created my own ui using: Shadowed Unit Frames Basic Minimap BasicChatMods Advanced Edit Mode Gave me a huge performance increase and ive never gone back, working on a shadowed unit frames profile for healer, the dps one ive created is pretty much perfect Ill probably end up sharing this in some capacity, or explain how to do it in a video My rogue pack is based on atrocity's, i edited it and added some things i needed. Been working on my own rogue pack but I havent fully completed it yet, id also share that once its finalized. Pretty much the same style as atrocity, but the way i like it

@ man I feel your pain, my PC is up there with some top specs but elvui still f’s with my PC so bad! I also use atrocityUI and I’ve tried switching to SUF and customising it to make it similar but always end up breaking stuff😂 but honestly man, I would pay for this UI it’s exactly how I like my UI plus it has the performance boost which is a plus side! Would 100% be interested in your UI. I’m all for free UIs and stuff, but I’d be lying if I said you couldn’t make big bucks with your setup man

@@-ryen-9434 Its a relief to hear someone else had the same experience haha I appreciate that a lot, im really passionate about all the ui stuff, i love perfecting my ui down to the exact pixels, I could setup a discord with subscription to gain access, i need to make sure its all 100% fleshed out before i would feel right sharing it with people, which ill get to work on! Funnily enough, i already have a good bit of it laid out in a discord i shared with my friends, where i share performance tests and things when i was profiling a ton of addons that all did the same things, i pushed keys with them back in dragonflight s2/3/4, and they had a lot of performance issues when it came to the crazier pulls i liked doing, so i remade the elv stuff they used into SUF, helped with plater/weakaura performance stuff too, and it was day and night for them So to sum it up, thank you! that means a lot, ive contemplated doing this stuff for so long, making videos and sharing my stuff, and have even wanted to get into making a full ui for a while now, it feels cool to have somewhere to show it all now, so ill get onto finalizing the stuff i use right now, and we can see where we go from there! Might have to have some people test it all out before releasing it! When i get there Im sure ill make a video announcing it!

Atrocity earns enough I’d rather pay it to you in all honesty, plus you use much better alternatives for performance and it looks even cleaner for some reason, literally my dream UI! I’d also be happy to help test it out if you needed people for testing😁 (would still pay as anyone else would have to ofc if that’s how you decide to do it) but that’s good to hear man, I will stay posted and keep an eye out for some UI vids! Was there something specific you seem to struggle with? Or questions you have? On the first stream I did, I had someone ask for coaching, so i am also exploring the idea of coaching players, for more personalized guidance after seeing whats going on in logs from person to person, just need to figure out a good system that works for myself.

@@zachojwow I already learned a good bit from your vid review of rash. tbh I am newish to rogue, only started playing it this tier, so there's a lot that I'm just not fully understanding yet. And still trying to build muscle memory for everything. I can only guess the things I'm struggling with, if you do want to do a log review of someone else for a video I'd probably be down, even if its humiliating lol. Topics I think would be helpful if discussed - ability interactions (talents in retail are fairly complicated, with so many different talent/ability interactions, I can read the talent and ability descriptions over and over, but sometimes you can just miss something.) Like in your rash video you talked about having the envenom buff before casting kingsbane, and I think thats something I just never considered doing before vs immediately after. - energy pooling. Ive tried to be more aware of my energy lately, but I always feel completely starved and I know that has to be ruining my damage. I just don't know how or what to change to keep my envenom buff up, and also reserve some energy. - how to properly perform a cooldown window, and what the rotation goal should be outside of that. I know my current videos kind of assume the player watching already knows the class, so its awesome for you to have taken things from that video and applied it while being newer to rogue! If i ever made a video reviewing someones gameplay i would do my utmost to not humiliate someone, looking down on someone who wants to learn is silly, and how would they know better if no one tells them?! I dont think a log review would have enough content for a video unless i found a pattern amongst multiple different players' logs that i could teach about, but reviewing video gameplay is something i could definitely get behind, seeing what the player sees gives me so much more information, and i can see WHY certain mistakes are made rather than just pointing them out and correcting them Ill keep your name down and once i solidify the structure i want to go about with the coaching, ill send a message! Yeah i can do that: {time:0:01,SAA:442432:1}0:20 - Zachoj {spell:1966} Zachoj {spell:37683} {time:2:54,SAA:442432:1}3:13{spell:442432}|cffB65552Ingest Black Blood|r - Zachoj {spell:37683} Zachoj {spell:1966} {time:0:03,SAA:442432:3}6:08 - Zachoj {spell:37683} Zachoj {spell:1966} Here's the personal note i used during this fight, make sure to swap Zachoj for whatever your character's name is! -- Remember this will only remind you of the Evasion+Feint, not the first feint that i planned as well (seemed like overkill to remind myself about that one) And the way I mouseover rupture the spiders during the boss fight is a combination of 3 things, -- The spiders are considered "Boss" Units -- I use Shadowed Unit Frames to display my boss frames, thus showing the spiders -- I use a macro to make my rupture mouseover: #showtooltip Rupture /cast [@mouseover,harm,exists,nodead][]Rupture I only use this for rupture, and I hold down rightclick when i want to rupture my target so i dont accidentally mouseover anything else

Yeah! I went through the rogue discord to both confirm my own questions as well as get a definitive answer for you: Avoid using abilities at 70 energy or below to not have thistle tea auto-proc Then manually use tea during your kingsbane with shiv Make sure you dont overcap on thistle tea while doing this! Another thing to keep in mind, this is normal! Assassination rogue will have a little bit of downtime due to energy, this is much more evident in dungeons, but in raid it also happens.

True true, this was something I kept in mind when watching, and found the only nether rift he used feint was at the end of one where he felt in trouble of dying, so it seemed like more of a panic button to try and survive. Yeah that as well, the double preservation evoker was able to heal those INSANELY, with the raid being so tightly stacked Same here! Absolutely no dps check in my current prog, so the extra dps i could squeeze in with a little bit more energy is irrelevant to me. Thank you!! I appreciate it a ton!

Yes you are correct, although whenever you're running the talent lightweight shiv - which gives 2 charges of shiv, you'll want to send the first shiv before the kingsbane, then refresh it when it runs out Shiv lasts 8 seconds each, Kingsbane 14 seconds - So with 1 charge --> send at the last 8 seconds of Kingsbane - 2 charges --> before Kingsbane then reapply at the end of the shiv I use Shadowed Unit Frames for my unit frames (I'll prob end up making a video on my ui as well) And the macro I use for my mouseover rupture is: #showtooltip Rupture /cast [@mouseover,harm,exists,nodead][]Rupture This will send a rupture at your current target if you dont have a mouseover, so I usually hold down my mouse so I dont randomly hit something with the rupture since it checks if mouseover first
