If you don’t care about PC building and just want it to do certain things then yes buying one can be OK, but you never know whether seller is building it properly, if you do love the experience of doing something different than it is amazing and it is a good skill to have. I am building one because I like choosing my parts and building something I like, also you tend to usually save money when building a PC. I highly recommend it but it’s never going to be a necessity to build one do what you like the most.
