Yes!!! Love that road. On it again on one months time enroute Wollongong to Phillip Island. Very cool sound track.

As a new rider as well, I wish there were easy trails like that around here. I get loose rocks, sand, moguls, steep hills instead.

An excellent video, my thanks for sharing. I'm looking at doing a loop from Canberra to Jindabyne then down the Barry Way to Orbost. Back home via the Bonang to Delegate, Cooma and home.

I understand you like riding your bikes but go and make noise in your own horrible suburbs. We don't live in this small town to hear your horrible bikes. We came for peace and nature and the wildlife which lives in this wooded areas.

Not really a good comparison as you are both clearly novice riders, even my mum can go fast on a flat dirt road, but I did enjoy the quality of the action camera

Hey Jack - suggest a swap next time you ride with your dad. Just mention that you thin he is faster because of the bike - not because of his riding. He will not be able to resist the challenge. Even if he still passes you - you can tell him that you let him. Enjoy the ride.

I'm sure it would - they were / are a great bike. Got to love that 2 stroke power - enjoy the thrill.

Cool video, just had a discussion with a guy who's son has a 350. I have a 450x. Told him there was no way that thing would keep up with me on an open trail. You just proved my point.

Thanks bybelenos, I plan to get back there for another look soon - hopefully the landslide has been cleared and we can get right through without turning back. I came a cropper coming back right at the other side of the bridge, nearly ended up in the river. H

Great ride, Stevo - awesome road. I have ridden it a few times myself. Much of it has been logged and chopped up in the last year. We used to go camping as kids just near the bridge at 10.06. Good, steady footage - amazing you didn't see any wallabies, deer or wombats!

Sounds like a great ride. The dirt section of the Bonang Hwy is not very long and is usually in great condition - but you need to ride to the conditions. There is also a dirt section near Delegate. The bitumen section to Orbost is fantastic and well worth riding the dirt section. However you do have several alternatives, Via Bombala to Cann River via the Monaro Hwy is also a great ride. No matter which way you go it is about 320 k's. A quick look at Google Maps and street view is worthwhile

I used the GoPro HD, had it mounted on my helmet - not heavy at all - hardly knew it was there. I was really lucky with the weather as well - an absolutely brilliant day. Regards & Ride Safe.

Great vid Stevo! Been down that way every Phillip Island run for the past 3 years. Love it! What camera did you use? For anyone who hasn't but is thinking about taking a run through, keep an eye ahead for logging trucks. They can take the whole road on some of the tighter bends! Ride safe!
