That is a Continental 0-200 great engine but a little heavier than them rotax and Yamaha engines that have been common on the avids and kit foxs

@@blackswampaviation Thanks. I was just given a M k 4. Completed and run, but never put into phase 1. I dont like the 2 stroke Rotax that it wears, and am exploring options.

@@nattybumpo7156 my dad has modified 4 of the avids flyers mark 4 to be able to take the heavier engines and landing gear. He has extended the fuselage 18 inches and put a stiffener plate along the side of the aircraft from fire wall to just behind the cabin door. Avid flyer my dad built it from a kit. He bought it in 1997 first fight was 2005 and had it apart for mods for a few years and now it’s back!

They sure are beautiful design it’s just sad that so many where destroyed or scrapped. The same happened for so many other aircraft that have been lost to history it is just sad.
