Smokey Mountain Growler Review

This is an under 2 minute review of a double wall stainless container for hot or cold liquids. It is the Smokey Mountain Growler 32oz container. I recently used this on a snow camping trip and it worked great. It worked far better than simply putting a Nalgene bottle in a thermal sleeve. smokymountaingrowlers.com/ Many Options here amzn.com/B011MMDQ3M I purchased here

Quick review of the Muvi Egg timer style 360 pan device. This is just another way to add dimension to your time lapse photography. It works very well for the $20 mark. I purchased mine from Amazon.com to the door for sub $20. Amkov 7000S Under 3 Min Review
Просмотров 2 тыс.8 лет назад
Very short showing of the Amkov 7000S, with review. I really like this camera based on its ability to give quality video and images. It is about 1/3 the cost of the Hero 4. With that said, Amkov needs to produce a new iteration of both Firmware, and Phone App for this to be a stellar cheap replacement for the GoPro Hero series. The main reason why I purchased this camera is because it comes wit...

    The instruction manual is difficult to follow, as the photos do not do well in showing exactly how the plates are to be put on. Mine had the stamped plates with the F, G, H and I marked on each of them, but you basically put it all together upside down when assembling it. Hope they remain secure and do well for the purpose I will be using them. This video was a help, for sure.

      In checking out just what you claim, the HF ramps are designed to be put together exactly as how it was done in this video. There is no indication by the manual or the photos at Harbor Feight as to any structural weakness in assembly in this manner. The individual photos at HF show the assembly done just like in his video. Not sure why you think it would be weaker in this manner, but none the less, he did assemble it correctly by what HF instructions stated and what is shown at their own site for these ramps.

    An awesome good insightful video. This Harbor Freight Load Master got better customer ratings then the Lowes aluminum folding Loading ramp set which costs at $160.00. Several customer ratings experienced bending structural compromises of the integrity of the Lowes folding Ramp. I am wondering so far how is yours holding up?

    I installed the 150 amp battery doctor isolator, and the blue charge indicator light stays on until both my batteries go down to the voltage cut off, does not seem like it should do that, plus I have solar and a charge controller so when sun is out the battery doctor never shut off cause the batteries never drop below the cut off voltage until dark, then both batteries are down in voltage. any ideas?

    • @918gear4
      @918gear4 6 лет назад

      Sorry, I have no ideas on that. The blue light stays on most of the time with my system. I do not have a solar charger. It has worked flawless for me since I installed it, and I just installed a similar system in my brothers car. It has bailed me out after my kid left the interior light on as we left on a several day hike. When we returned to a dead main battery the over ride started the car. I only have a few things hooked to the auxiliary battery.

    This straight from there web site: Can I put my Smoky Mountain Growler in the freezer? We don't recommend it because of the sealed and insulated nature, doing so will void your warranty. Throw a couple ice cubes inside and you'll think it was in there - you can even store ice cream or frozen yogurt in it for a nice frozen treat later.

    Hi, you say in the description you also have the 5000s. What's the difference like between them? Does the 7000s have better video quality for its extra price??Overall which do you prefer? Thanks a lot

    • @918gear4
      @918gear4 8 лет назад

      Yep, I have both. The 5000 does not have a rear display, and only shoots in 30fps @1080 where the 7000 shoots at 60fps and has a rear display. Both are nice for the money, and i use one on the rear of my bike and one on the front. The 5000 is a bit easier to just click and go giving a good battery life for about 2.5 hours. The 7000 needs a few clicks to get set up so the screen turns off after a minute to keep the battery life at about the same 2.5 hour mark. I like them both, but the quality images are better with the 7000. The 7000 also takes almost all the same parts as the Hero 4. With that said, I almost always grab the 5000 when I run out of the house due to the ease of pointing it and turning it on. Maybe its the 69$ price point too, I don't worry about bad things happening to it. Hope this was helpful.

      +Adam Alford First, sorry for the late reply... I am thinking I would prefer this one, I am not familiar with the Texport version. After a bit of research I have found that for me, I like the Grand Trunk Skeeter Beeter PRO. It is worth the extra 25$ compared to this one.

      Don't string the net too tight as that has been a problem on other product netting. Seems like stringing the net with bungee like the Skeeter Beeter is the way to go.

    after you install the auxiliary battery with the battery isolator, do you have to connect the auxiliary battery to the vehicles accessory circuits in order to run the stereo and any other vehicle electronics while the car is turned off?

    • @918gear4
      @918gear4 9 лет назад

      Jason Skelton Yes Sir, you do. The battery is completely separate and needs to be connected to any accessory you want powered separately. If you accessories run your secondary battery all the way down it will not affect your primary starting battery. OR You can use your primary battery to run everything you want, and just use the secondary as a jumper if accessories drain the battery. Hope this helped

    • @absolutwalrus64
      @absolutwalrus64 9 лет назад

      If the second battery is a deep cycle and I want to use my 150-amp alternator to charge it using the isolator then will I most likely fry the battery that way.... That is the conclusion I have come to so I am thinking about returning my isolator and just installing a switch and charging the battery at home after my camping trips.

    • @918gear4
      @918gear4 9 лет назад

      If you mean your car alternator then NO it should not hurt the deep cycle battery. The deep cycle is better for the longer discharge like the application you mentioned earlier...Accecories and such. Not really a good starter battery, but they will start cars. The Wirthco evens out the charge between batteries, and also isolates them.

    • @BADD1ONE
      @BADD1ONE 8 лет назад

      +Jason Skelton I have a battery box for my deep cycle I hook up a 2000 watt inverter to the box. all the power you'll need. batt dies start the engine.

    FYI- For fairness to the use of 550 cord, and the stretch issue...look at the trees bend, this is exacerbates the already existing sag issue with a dynamic style cordage. Again, a better static cordage is Dyneema or Amsteel for the suspension on a hammock.
