Stamford Bridge Expansion - Stand-by-stand
A quick visualisation of how stamford bridge could be expanded, one stand at a time. This would keep the existing west stand, then demolish each of the other stands one by one, replacing them with a new stand to match the west stand profile.

An animation the evolution of the stadium at Stamford Bridge. Views show a comparison between the stadium in 1970, 2000, and the proposed future design. I created the images using 3DS MAX and Mental Ray. I recorded the music directly into Logic.

Lot of wasted spaces... We need to use every millimetre space as possible & build higher capacity

@@Extreme2SwaggerHD not possible unless height restrictions removed & we buy the plot of land besides the bridge.. that ll stretch to max 70k.. If we can build over the rail track then boie we are speaking! 100k is also possible lol
Bates missed a trick with the shed end, it's synonymous with the club, and went for a large hotel with a stand that holds 6k approx
IF we are not leaving the bridge and building a brand new stadium at an alternative new site......then i prefer us to do this stand by stand expansion of Stamford Bridge. Not a big fan of playing at Wembley or Twickenham for 3-4 seasons temporarily. The Stamford Bridge site is tight, so if we going to stay there then there is no point in splashing 1.5 to 2bn for a new stadium in that tight space, no matter we can't get the capacity above 62,000 due to restrictions and what not, so it just isn't value for money if you ask me. Great work again, Neil.

i absolutely loved the concept of the big stand on the i believe what it would be the Shed End. that exact concept of having a massive human wall behind the goal post is an absolute must in the new design rather than having a barrier that splits it in 2 or 3 pieces. love that you aknowledged that design because it makes a huge difference in the home atmosphere and the aestetics of the stadium. something simialar to the yellow wall at dortmund. this would be phenomenal. I hope the owners requests that in the new design

I would hope they would be able to dig a little deeper so the access to the lower tier does not start halfway but rather at the top of the tier. Similar to stadiums like the emirates or what Liverpool did with their main stand. This way they could accommodate more seats without having any issues with the stadium height and right to light, as these would stay the same. I'm not sure this is possible with the space available though. Great video to show what's possible Neil 👏
There is a high water table in the area so digging deeper would be costly and problematic. In this model, the ground level is at the top of the lower tier.

@@neilvano5647 I also heard there was a culverted river somewhere across the site, which adds to the complications. Any idea where that is?
Looks class , snag is, will it actually happen ? they ve been ere b4 with new stadium plans but theirs always a problem with planning permission etc, we ll see
