Congrats on the move and good luck in your search for a new house! I was at a record show last weekend just outside of Toronto with a fellow collector and we're planning a trip soon to Buffalo to hit a few record shops and have some wings at The Anchor Bar. Other than Revolver Records let me know if you have any other suggestions. Congrats again on the move!

Good luck house hunting man! I look forward to seeing the new place soon! You could make a video called 'The high school albums' when all of your records are back in their right place of course. I don't own 'Once upon a time' and shall pick that up in time. I dig Plant's 1st solo album too - with the great Phil Collins on drums as you said...the guitarist is hot on that album too - Robbie Blunt. I saw Steve Earle at Glastonbury in 2023 they have the 'acoustic tent' small and intimate. It was really cool. He played 'my old friend the blues' which is a favourite of mine.

Absolutely true story - my parents went to Niagara Falls on their honeymoon in 1962. My father was such a momma's boy that he invited my grandparents to go with them!!! My mother never forgave him for that. 😂

Glad you landed okay, and that priority #1 was evidently to get the hifi set-up. 👏🏻 Nice first record. I don't have it, but I've a few of Stan's albums, so will be checking out the compilations. Nice UB40 one there. 'Madam Medusa' is top notch. I recently bought a 2CD comp of Roy Buchanan, and was surprised by the lack of vocals. Gorgeous guitar playing though. Oh, and that Steve Earle album is tremendous (second, not, debut, album). I've never seen that Peter Godwin album. Love that Metro first album. That Bossa Nova album sounds delicious - I'm going to be on the lookout for that one.

Can't beat free and you've already made new friends. Awesome
