Thanks for the tips. However, I would like to point out that the lower screw and nut should be tightened only when the suspension is at its normal height, by pressing the arm upwards from below with a jack, for example. Otherwise, when you mount the wheel and lower the car, the shock bushing will be twisted all the time and wont last long.

My mercedes E350 started to hesitate and shut iff, code came back fuel rail/system pressure low. Could that be fuel filter or fuel pump?

Great video, however your rear asborbers are called shocks, not struts, your fronts are called struts. A strut contains a coil over the shock absorber attached to the wheel assembly. They support the steering and suspesion.

You don't need to (and probably shouldn't) lubricate the entire O-ring, just the outside surface after it is installed. The purpose of the lubrication is allow the O-Ring to slide against the flange as the filter cap is being tightened without the O-ring "bunching up" and possibly leaking. Since the inside of the O-Ring does not move against any surface as it is being tightened, it is not necessary to lubricate it. This is the same reason it is best to lubricate the outside of the O-Ring on a wrist watch when replacing the watch case back (but use special silicone grease to do it).

I just finished this exact service and set the fluid level at 63 degrees C and with the engine off as you did and the experts in the Mercedes forums said I should re-do it at 45 and with the engine running. Maybe some experts here can chime in on how bad that is and if I should reset the level as the guys in the forum suggested urgently.

Very dangerous, never use those spring compressors, thats why they call them widow makers. You can buy an alternative spring compressor much safer.

Please read your owners manual…It specifically states, the spec engine oil you can use in your vehicle. On Mercedes-Benz website for engine oil and other fluids also suggest what they are…(bevo.mercedes-benz.com/). Please do your own research. Every dealership is in the business of making money and getting vehicles through the warranty period after that you’re on your own!

nice work, if you turn the wheel you typically can access both left and right sides of the lower strut with an impact. just a little tip for next time.
