Nice video, French pronunciation needs work though !
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it!
Magnifique reportage sur un marché et une ville que je connais bien, j'y suis née. Merci. Wonderful report on a market and a city that I know well, I was born there. THANKS.
Thanks so much; I am glad you enjoyed it!
Beaitiful😊😊
So glad you enjoyed it!
One of the most thorough videos on Beziers. Thanks. We will be there for a week in September, 2024.
That's a good time to visit; enjoy!
Wonderful tour, merci !
Thanks for letting me know ... I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Well done! Thanks!
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Nice video and explanations too. We have one night reserved at an airbnb here in a few weeks. But I keep wondering if we should stay in Orvieto whcih I haven't seen yet and day trip here. Probably no right or wrong decision.
How much time will you have in Tuscany? Orvieto is a cute village by the sea, but the hill towns in Tuscany are, I think, far more interesting.
@@BluetteMatthey few nights and staying in San Gimignano and Montalcino already. Just one night after leaving Rome which was thinking of Civita or Orvieto which is only 30 from civita but much larger. Civita will probably win. Thanks.
My mistake ... I was thinking of Orbetello, on the peninsula. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the hill towns. Montepulciano is lovely, too, but Civita is totally unique. Have a safe and wonderful explore!
Je hais le Vaucluse et Apt!!!!!!! Furchtbar!!!!!!! 😱😱😱😱
There are so many lovely villages in the Vaucluse: Menerbes, Gordes, Lourmarin ... the entire Luberon. I chose Apt for its long history as a market and Roman stronghold. Have you visited the towns at the other end of the Luberon?
@@BluetteMatthey Yes. J'ai vecu dans le Vaucluse et je n'y retournerai plus jamais. Je prefere la Cote d'Azur et les Alpes-Maritimes, puis beaucoup d'autres regions en France; D'autres pays.
@@Morgan47louvenoire I enjoy the Alpes-Maritimes, also. Have you watched my Peillon video? It's one of my favorite villages!
@@BluetteMatthey I know Thorenc, Grasse, Saint-Paul-de-Vence, Saint-Valliers... Do you know Mandelieu-la-Napoule?
@@Morgan47louvenoire No, I do not, but it looks divine! I will plan to visit this summer. Generally, I avoid the beach areas due to the high volume of tourists in those areas. I live in Beziers, which is an amazing small city and 15 min. from the beaches and not nearly as crowded as the Cote d'Azur.
Your camera movement makes me dizzy but I enjoyed less jerkiness😂
Hi Deborah! My eldest son says the same thing. I'm trying ....
Thankyou,lovely
So glad you enjoyed it, Michele.
I love this video and thank you for it! However, I wanted to get the Potty Poche app and Apple does not seem to have it. Any suggestions?
Hi, Gloria. So glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks for alerting me to the app missing from the App Store... I'm dealing with that now. Also available at Google Play, but hopefully the problem with App Store will be remedied. Thanks, again.
Hi Gloria, here is a link to the App on Apple. I am glad you enjoyed the video, and hope you can enjoy it in person. Bluette apps.apple.com/fr/app/potty-poche-guide-de-voyage/id1467230032
Thankyou soooo much Madam, what a lovely town where you live
Thank you for your comment, Michele. I'm glad you enjoyed my video on Beziers. Where are you from?
Hi,I live in Athens Greece,we want to go somewhere else when my husband retires in 3 years, france appeals to us just a bit scared of not knowing the language, would learn some before of course,he is a musician, and of course all the dealing with french public offices, paper work etc...thankyou@@BluetteMatthey
We were there in 2010 with friends. Loved it so much. Would love to go back.
Hi, the "water rats" I believe are ragondin. I enjoyed your video, thank you.
Thanks for the info .... I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Have you been to Beziers?
Yes, many times.I have family living in Capestang. I haven't been able to visit since before covid but plan to again next year. This part of France is my favourite.
@@papiken1 We live in Beziers and call this area 'the Real South of France', but I also love the Luberon.
Hello am French and I live 3 kilometers from Castelnou. My village is called THUIR, you had to go there to go to Castelnou. In Thuir is the largest oak vat in the world, 10 meters high, 12 meters in diameter and which can contain a million liters of wine and right next to it is a railway station built by Gustave Eiffel which is magnificent
Thank you for writing me, Geremie. Yes, I have been to Thuir, but did not see the railway station, which sounds lovely. I will make a point to visit the station the next time I am in the area. I hope you enjoyed the video. Bluette Matthey
Beautiful video. Very informal. Thank you for sharing ❤️🍁🍂☀️🌟🌻
Thanks, Jenny! Glad you enjoyed it.
M coming in September
This video was great! I’m traveling with my dad and this helped us so much :)
Hi Sophia! So glad you enjoyed it! Are you visiting Beziers? I live there ...
Just came back from staying there...have lived there off and on for many years and love it. This was fun to watch!
Hi Janet! Thanks for getting in touch. Pezenas is a lovely little town ... glad you enjoyed the video!
Hi, you really have to get a better camera, nice with all historic info. But a DJI action 2 is affordable :) get it !
Really enjoyed the tour.
Beautiful! Thanks, Bluette!
Hi Leah! Thanks for watching; glad you enjoyed it!
I've lived in Cannes for 6 years and from there I tried to visit every little place in the South of France but I missed mysterious Pillon. As I am planning on moving back there soon, I'll make sure I'll visit it. Got the Potty Poche guide too!
Hi Alejandro! Peillon would be a great place for a murder/mystery, for sure! So glad you enjoyed the video. There are, basically, two routes to Peillon. Recommend you do not take the single lane, insanely elevated, twisty one from St. Agnes ... unless of course you like heart-stopping thrills and a great view!

I live close from there
It's a beautiful village and surroundings!
My father lives here. Lovely town.
Yes, it is! I live in Beziers, about 20 min. away. Thanks for watching.
This was great to watch, thank you!! I noticed that you did not encounter ANY other people, is it always like that? Also, this is a stupid question and I apologize for it, but where do people get their groceries? (I mean the things they can’t cultivate). Thank you
I am so glad you enjoyed it! I have been to Peillon twice and only saw one other person. As for shopping, there are no shops in Peillon. The main village in the area seems to be Sainte-Thecle, which is less than 10 minutes away.
@@BluetteMatthey Thank you for the video. What time of year did you visit?
@@riumudamc4686 I think it was late spring, and a second time in the summer. Thanks for watching; I hope you enjoyed it!
@@BluetteMatthey thank you for the reply! Are there other similar villages in the region without tourism? Also, are there any good freshwater swimming options in the area?
@@riumudamc4686 Peillon is pretty unique as far as not being invaded by tourists. I have never seen Sainte-Agnes full of tourists, but it has a different vibe. As for swimming wild, the Gorge du Verdon and Pont du Loup, both in the Var (further west in Provence) are quite nice. Don't know of any areas in Alpes-Maritimes ...
PEILLON Is my Family Ancestors Village, WE still have our name although our great, great Grandparents left for Australian during the first world war. We went to many Islands Inc, NZ and Australia plus many others. I still Have my family name of Peillon as we had many men. In Australia my Family Took Indigenous Partners and they also have the Australians Indigenous names and the last name of Peillon. I feel such a connection to knowing my Frankish History From the Franks all the way to Aborigine Australia. My feet are alive within the Aborigine north and Mid Australia, But I've a longing to be In Peillon, My ancestors village. and yes many murder mysteries lay there, inc, Peillon women were murderers too. check out the Priests that Guard the Tombs Of Peillon. Thank you for pronouncing Peillon properly, My family get wild when they hear It pronounced wrong. We have even been by the Ignorand Pillons, peeon, Pielon . Bonjour, salute. 'and yes Vincent and the rest are distant relatives, very distant. From Wurundjeri country Australia.
Hi S Greg! Thank you so much for your comments and sharing your amazing family history. Peillon is one of my very favorite perched villages. I find it intriguing and about as authentic as any you will find. Have you been to visit Peillon? I definitely will investigate the Priests who guard the Tombs of Peillon! Where are these tombs located? Do you have any tidbits you can share? Always so good to hear from people who enjoy my videos. Thanks, again, Bluette
Very glad I stumbled across this down a youtube rabbit hole, I had an absolutely wonderful gîtes holiday in Céret with my late wife in 2006; she adored the market (though my wallet was less keen). Brought back some lovely memories.
Hi Mike. I am so glad you enjoyed the video. Ceret is a special little town! My best to you, Bluette
