Installing pocket clips on my Buck 110 pocket knives

In this video I install Civivi titanium pocket clips to my Buck 110 pocket knives. I drilled holes directly into the brass bolsters and then used a tap to thread the holes. This process took about 15 minutes. I made the mistake of not drilling the first hole deep enough which caused a minor gap between the pocket clip and bolster. This was my first time ever drilling metal so I learned a few th...

The rough rider Barlows are probably the best Barlow for the price as of right now. It’s such a shame because they are such a classic and wonderful knife design that companies just love sleeping on for some reason. The Barlow will always be one my favorite designs ever, it’s such a handy knife

I’m hoping I get the same result with this cross pendant that I got on Temu…, it’s forming bubbles on the surface of it so I figure the longer I leave it in there the better…, I’ll probably check it in a hour and then leave it in there longer if it isn’t dark enough, even if it just gives it a aged patina I’ll be satisfied with it…, yours came out really nice…💯😯

Man what I wouldn’t do to get a hold of your buck knife collection I would be restoring and polishing and I would do it for free you might wanna consider investing and some leather restoration and a decent buffing wheel and then add to your collection a guided Knife Sharpen in system for 500 bucks you can make those knives look like jewellery very nice collection

I grabbed the 382 Trapper today while I was shopping at Walmart. And dude, I’m really really impressed with the quality. I got it in Burlwood. I friggen love this thing. All the main aspects you double check for quality in a traditional knife get an A+ grade on my example. I think I’m going to try and collect all the patterns in Burlwood. I think the Burlwood is really nice, so that’s the only reason for that. But if all the Buck patterns, China or USA, are made this well I’m definitely going to pick up more.

When I was in the US Air Force in the 80s and 90's these were in our tool boxes, we all had own knives or multi-tools on us, the knives were there for cutting boxes etc, the main reason one was in our tool boxes was it accounted for so no tools got left on the aircraft, we always did a tool box check before and after working on the airplanes and the tools were marked to go with a specific tool box. During my time in the Military I used Buck knives, Leatherman tools along with SOG, Gerber and Cold Steel knives I moved to Victorinox when I got stationed in England and Germany and I still use SAK to this day.

When I graduated Boot Camp [MCRD SD] in 3/74, an older Marine Buddy presented me with one of those steel ''Buddy Knives''. I made the mistake of opening all the blades at once, and the back spring broke. I gave it back to him, and I guess he got it replaced at the PX. I was lucky I was allowed to keep my Champion SAK in basic training. Came in handy in Second Phase.

These were issued to cadets at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. They were called "Youngie" knives because your freshman year is your Youngie year. You you were required to have it, along with a book of matches and change for a quarter on your person at all times, to make up your "Youngie" gear. If you didn't, it meant push-ups as punishment. I still have my 1984 stamped knife.

Seen a lot of Marble versions of this design & assumed they were the originators from WW II. Seems like it took decades for US mfg. to figure out how temper the stainless steel blades. I've always preferred various carbon steel versions over stainless but there are many stainless steels tempered/hardened so well these days to choose from, they now dominate my collection.

Mine is stamped 1984 and the only Camilus I own. I use mine all the time and it's a pretty decent pocket knife. Everything sharpens very well and holds an edge well enough to justify carrying and using it daily. You can buy new ones made by Marbles but they are trash, not even worth the ten or twelve bucks they go for.

I have a 1997 that was given to me when I was promoted to Corporal. Never used it in my official duties over my career as I allways pocket carried a Spyderco Delica. I put it in one of my my tackle boxs, rarely cut anything with it over the next 18yrs.... and it stayed there until I put in my service keepsake box few years ago along with my orginal Spyderco Delica and last issued Gerber MP600.... Luckily the Camillus is still mint condition.... Orginally I felt like these were just old Govt issued junk knives and it really meant very little to me until much later when I found out the MGySgt that gave it to me when he pinned my NCO stripes on and whom I respected with the utmost had passed away. He was a great Marine and mentor to young Marines.... better than I ever became but I learned alot from him that I still use in my life and try to pass down to others to this day. I also have an orginal Kingston from WW2 that was in the basement of my grandparents home... Grandpa and few of Grandmas brothers all served during WW2 so it was most likely one of theirs. My Dad said he doesn't remember ever having one issued when he was in during Vietnam but today it'd be cool if he had and we had 3 generations of these actually issued during our service.
