That I Loved You: A Tribute to Bailey the Guinea Pig
This video and song is a tribute to my guinea pig, Bailey. Bailey was very loved by many people and quite a little character. He was small, but his spirit was huge. I would like to thank Max Bemis for writing and performing this song after I told him my story. The lyrics are perfect and fit my feelings so well. I also want to thank Scott Wolf who made it easy for me to choose a name for Bailey simply by playing such a great character on television. So shocked when the news was released to the media that he had died. Skating fans were totally stunned that a man in his prime would be taken down so quickly by sudden heart problems. Saw Ekaterina at one of her first solo appearances. It was bittersweet to watch her skate solo.

I loved them since their beginning, or, better, since the very first time I watched them on TV. They were so young... I remember her nervous after the skating, and him looking at her calmly, smiling. I never missed them when it was possible for me to watch them on TV. They grew together, a skating pair, two friends, lovers, married, parents. Always they surprised me with their class, elegance, then tenderness and love. And off course their amazing skill on ice. I was devastated when he died. I see here comments mainly by women: I'm a man, born in 1956, straight, and always in love with them. They will live inside of me until my brain will work.
