yeah definitely! Cyber Sec is a lot more exciting then plain old full stack web dev. i too am thinking about switching towards IT and Cyber, but I'm still very young in my web dev journey. I think it would be better off if i have a basic understanding of web before i switch to Cyber.
Go for it! I'd definitely recommend building a few simple websites with some different tech stacks to get a feel for how they operate.
