In this video, I'm back to finish my Arduino-powered Neopixel clock project! In the last episode, we got the basics down, but today I'm tackling the final assembly, refining the code, and setting up the clock on a rustic wooden base. I’m keeping it unconventional with visible wires, a unique layout, and a handy daylight savings toggle switch. Watch as I set up custom bus bars, fine-tune the LED rings for hours, minutes, and seconds, and troubleshoot some quirky wiring challenges. Get ready for a clock design that truly breaks the mold!

    3D printing tests your patience. Besides filament clogs, I also have serial failures (at 10 hours into 14 hour print) which is probably because AUTO/AUTO picks 250000 baud wow). It takes a lot of learning and experience to get good results consistently. Thank you, this video was very helpful.

    So the airflow does get affected by air leaking through the print layers, it'd always been discussed that 3D prints couldn't be used as vessels to hold liquids and experience with a Stratasys support bath suggests as much as well. It'd be interesting to see if a version of this sprayed with clear coat or event just a flat colour helps to seal the microgaps in the layers and the airflow to/from the pump is improved.

      I think if the back of the blade is still in good condition, will still create airflow to lift the cuttings, and you can keep the blade balanced, yes, it should be OK to sharpen and reuse it. Please check with your supplier to ensure you won't impact any warranty conditions.

    Ha, I called it early on. Of course, I had an analog computer lab in college, and we learned real quick to test each cable as we added it to the programming. I have a different version of that power supply. It has a knobs for both voltage and current limit adjustment. I think that arrangement is less confusing. Pro tip: make yourself some buss bars out of 12 ga solid wire with spade lugs shaped to fit rightbon the binding posts for serial and parallel modes. You seriously don't want to make a mistake there. Both serial and parallel modes work well.

    Hi, yeah, been there, done that. As I couldn't see the labels on the various buttons, my first thought was had you enabled the outputs. Some power supplies have an enable button, so you can set everything up prior to allowing the output to be connected to your circuit. I also considered sense circuits not connected or enabled. It's odd how we ignore something that should be obvious and looks us right in the face. I'm glad you found the problem, but you lost your hair in the process !! Lol.

    "Bowden gap" is literally the oldest Ender-3 problem. At the very minimum you should not have tightened the nozzle before putting the bowden tube in, you should back off the nozzle 1 full turn, insert the bowden tube, then finish tightening the nozzle, so it will squeeze against the bowden tube, not permanent because the coupling will eventually allow the tube to move up and create the gap again. For a permanent solution you should do Luke Hatfield's hotend fix. Also, if you print a knob for your extruder and instead of trying to push the filament in, you put it in position and turn the knob, it will go through that first coupling without catching on the sides.

    Thanks for the drive ,I enjoyed being passenger . I do have question …..we’re the 6 cylinder ZB autos fitted with a C4 ( cruisomatic ) or a BW35 , or could were both trans available with the 3.6 ? Are you running a 250 with a BW 35 ( it looks like it to me with the selector quadrant ) thanks you may help me solve a mystery at least to me .

    • @engineerandmachine
      @engineerandmachine 8 месяцев назад

      Great question. The 3.6 litre used the BW 35. It was an early version with an additional pump on the tail shaft, which meant you could actually roll start the engine. When I installed the 250 2V, my BW transmission was struggling with the torque, and I installed a C9 (essentially a C4 with bell housing for the straight six). The 250 crankshaft flange is the same as the V8 flange. Where the 3.6 litre has a smaller diameter flange. In XY to XB, as I understand, the BW 35 was your standard auto with the C9 (C4) being installed as part of the heavy duty tow kit. I also believe the 250 2V was coupled with the C9 as it had 170 hp instead of the 150 hp of the standard non x flow 250.

      Hi sadly no I didn't as I wasn't you tubing at that time. I can do a follow-up showing the system in detail. I'll put that in the queue.

    Mind you this car was sort of rushed to market so Tesla could grow the company revenue to come out with the cheaper sedan and SUV (model 3 and Y). The updated S and X are really great products but the new Model 3 that just released is absolutely a great deal, and I expect the upcoming Model Y update to be released soon and that'll be the best deal on the market

      If that's the case then it's quite impressive what Tesla achieved with this car and they certainly paved the way for the brand. I'm looking forward to my next Tesla experience.
