great presentation! where else can I buy the model? I come from Germany
Guten tag! Thank you for watching. I bought this model 6 years ago and Icouldd only find it on eBay. I think that might be the likeliest place to find one of these fantastic models.
Good photography 👍
Thank you
Yeah I still haven't found anything that resembles key connection.
I have spent hours perusing the almost infinite chain of menus in this tool and have not been able to find KEY FOB PROGRAMMING. In addition it will not delete a current fob! I am disappointed.
I hope you find another way good luck
Have the same in gold, went on to build a real tribute XT GT in the same colour. Still kicking myself for selling it.
I still remember seeing a gold one of these driving in Geelong when I was a teenager. Magnificent. I'll never forget the sight of it turning into the street, I can still see the 230hp badge on the front guard and hear the sound of the 302 as it dawdled up the hill. Your lucky to have owned one of these stunning cars.
Why keep it in a box? Life is short, display your cars. 😃
Thank you so much for the much needed info, but i wonder where did you wired up the vehicle speed signal.
Ah thats a great question. Actually I tapped into the speed signal wire going into the back of the instrument cluster, however if you dont wish to tap into the cars signal wire you can instead attach a magnet to the tailshaft and then use a pickup sensor off that. I am fairly sure this was an option which could be purchased with the system.
@@engineerandmachine Thanks mate, that is super helpful!
@@olivertam3341 no problem. The same wire can be used on some aftermarket head units to do automatic volume as you speed up.
Lovely! Merry Christmas!!
Merry Christmas to you too
Love it!
Thank you and merry Christmas
A very nice review of the hot wheels elite kitt.one bad mistake however, kitt was a 1982 pontiac firebird trans am which was the first year of the third generation firebird,(1982-1992). 1979 was near the end of the second generation of firebird trans am (1970-1981).needless to say the third generation was a totally different vehicle.
Hey Thanks, for pointing this out! I did muddle that right up didn't I.
I absolutely love Knight Rider.
Me too!
Very nice! I think this is the best of the 1:18 models out there - not perfect but much better than the Ertl/Joyride version!
I haven't seen that version though I do agree the hot wheels KITT is an outstanding piece of work. I'd love if they had some of my other favourites too
Nice one mate. Those chunks coming out, was like watching an episode of doctor pimple popper extracting blackheads out of someones face (Joke, LOL ha ha ha). Need to catch up soon with me you and Nicko.
Thanks yeah I'll see you soon
Nice bit of surgery there Dr G :)
Thanks gordo
Nice work and effort spent 👍
Thank you
Thank you very much. I purchased a refurbished Makita mower. Unfortunately, it has a defective front shaft. Your video gives me some idea of what I will need to do to repair the mower.
Thank you. The mower has been terrific for me and given years of service. The front axle is quite easy to damage, it's my only complaint. It is however easy to replace
It sounds like someone left a few bolts loose inside the engine 🤣
Don't tell Frank he'll want to pull it apart again
I hope one can as Google says you can so on the back of that I bought the launch key code tool to plug in the launch creada £120
Please let me know how it works out?
Were you able to get it to program a Key Fob?
what would be loud background noise we can hear in second half of video or in last 20 seconds. Anyway like and sub from me, that is what you mostly need at this moment as well any comment you get is welcome.
Thank you I appreciate it and your absolutely right. The noise in this video is the rain falling onto my garage roof. I think you might also have got to hear my neighbours lawn mower too 😊
Could it tell us the frequency of the rain droplets on the roof?
😆 I could certainly try!
Which connector is this? I’m in US with is300 having same problems… tachometer stops working low oil light comes on as well as rear break light.. I’ve been chasing wires and ground for awhile and can’t figure it out. It started out intermittently and has gotten worse to where it barely ever works now. And if it does it’s for a few moments and next time I get in the car it’s not working again…
That sounds exactly like my problem was. I'm not sure if LHD versions have the wiring mirrored but I expect they don't. If I was in your position I would start on the drivers side and investigate the Junction box there. It was the forward connector at the top. The connector stands out because it is vertical while the others are horizontal. Im linking some photos for you in the description which i hope will help you fault find. Please let me know how it works out for you.
The problem with the rear clam not sitting properly is due to the rear subframe sitting too high on the respective mounting points when the car is viewed upside-down. The holes in the subframe need to be widened to approx 5.5mm. It took me multiple attempts to get it to a point where it looks ok. You will need to pull it apart again multiple times to get it right. It'll be worth it though. The kit itself is good but made difficult by poor instructions and worse fit and finish.
Thank you for your advice 🙏 I'll be helping my mate try to do this next week I'll share the results soon.
Is it still possible to buy this model and build it first I’ve heard of it looks great
My friend bought this series over about 2 years. You could try reaching out to supercar buildup dot com dot au or phone them on 02 8378 7932
You can find them unstarted or built from time to time.
Hi I fixed the leak powered it back on now the buttons are not responding and the error code is still there any ideas?
Hi there. For me, soaking up the liquid was a temporary fix. Ultimately, I had to replace the inside door skin and one of the hinges. I have read that the microswitch is subject to failure also. Here is something to try. 1. Check to see if your overflow has filled back up. 2. Check the microswitch for continuity. If the answer to 1 is yes you might have a serious leak to look for. I hope this helps
I built this model and it went together nicely. You sir are doing a massacre of it!
That made me chuckle 😃
@@engineerandmachine sorry... I've built 13 models from IXO, Hachette, Deagostini, Centauria,... most of the with almost no issues. and for sure I did not scratch the hell out of them like you did ;)
I just had my driver side break for 5th time in 5 years
I hope you had a better experience with warranty!
The best two lessons! 😂
Some are calling it a massacre 😃
Hi, you didn’t show what can be customised??
Good point, there are many user settings and I missed out on highlighting them. I'll remember this in future to try and be more thorough. Please keep an eye out for a follow up video where I show more details. Thank you for commenting.
Cut the end of the filament at a 45° angle and it makes feeding the filament easier. Hope that helps so you don't have to remove the fitting each time. That sounds like a pain.
Thank you it's a great idea i will try it out.
G'day Anthony. The build project is coming along nicely mate. Cheers, Aaron.
Thanks again Aaron
3D printing tests your patience. Besides filament clogs, I also have serial failures (at 10 hours into 14 hour print) which is probably because AUTO/AUTO picks 250000 baud wow). It takes a lot of learning and experience to get good results consistently. Thank you, this video was very helpful.
Keep at it, and thank you for commenting. You're right it doesn't always go as planned, but it always provides a chance to learn
grazy
Thanks
G’day Anthony. That’s one unique clock mate. Great idea 💡. Cheers Aaron 🍻
Thanks 👍
Nice project but, audio is very low and there is no link to the code.
Thanks for the feedback with the audio I am still learning and its really helpful to have that advice. I have now uploaded the link to the code!
Awesome project, mate 😊
Glad you like it
Hey Anthony. That was a very satisfying video mate. I really enjoyed it. Such an overlooked item in everyday use. Cheers, Aaron.
Thanks Aaron 😊
I like to camp in detents!
Bahaha
Much like the detents, this video's gone underappreciated too!
Yeah but I'm OK with that! Thanks for commenting 🙂
Hmm im stuck with the ball bearing not coming off the axle. Guess it will come down to brute force
How did you go with that bearing? If it stayed on the axle instead of staying with the wheel you could try a two pronged pulling tool. They are cheap and simple to use
@@engineerandmachine injected with oil. then heated. then a wrench on the ball bearing and knocked loose with a hammer
Excellent glad to hear it!
Good job mate !!!
Thanks Gordo
So the airflow does get affected by air leaking through the print layers, it'd always been discussed that 3D prints couldn't be used as vessels to hold liquids and experience with a Stratasys support bath suggests as much as well. It'd be interesting to see if a version of this sprayed with clear coat or event just a flat colour helps to seal the microgaps in the layers and the airflow to/from the pump is improved.
Those are good suggestions I'll give it a try!
Awesome video! With love from a fellow ZB owner 👌💪👍✌
The best Fairlane out of them all! Thanks for watching
Thanks for showing your excellent Fairlane looks & sounds amazing
My pleasure
@@engineerandmachine luv to see more on your Fairlane. A bit of reminiscing - my dad was going to buy a custom brand new back in the day even brought it home to show the family but it was a bit too expensive lol so he went with a falcon 500 wagon 3.6 auto (wouldn't have been much cheaper I imagine) I can still remember the new car smell of that ford. Evidently (you may know better than me) Henry Ford was born in Ireland on a country lane called Fairlane & that was a reason he had a model by that name - a bit of useless info thanx again cheers
There's a lot of useless knowledge in my head about Fairlanes but that was new to me. I will do some more Fairlane content soon just for you! Thanks for commenting and please keep your eye out for another Fairlane video soon.
THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!!!!!!
I'm so glad if this helped even one other person.
Can we reuse after sharpening?
I think if the back of the blade is still in good condition, will still create airflow to lift the cuttings, and you can keep the blade balanced, yes, it should be OK to sharpen and reuse it. Please check with your supplier to ensure you won't impact any warranty conditions.
Where did you find the axel?
Hi I got them from United Tools in Burleigh. I would put a link but YT doesn't allow it. They were quite easy to get a hold of. If you are in Australia shoukd be pretty easy to buy Edit I just looked and they say they're experiencing major delays on spares. I did also see some on ebay
Great stuff! Really highlights the power in the maker community to develop custom solutions for low cost. Your students will benefit greatly from this. Only a little warping on the corner of a model near the edge of the bed is a great result, looks like the Ender 3 is working well.
Thanks there's more to this story coming soon. Please stick around to find out more!
Thank you very much for your information
You are welcome
Excuse me,one question? do you think if be able to program a key fob with it? 2012 Lexus ct200h
I am not sure about that. I will look in the settings and see if I can find out in the next week.
Thank you very much🙏
Hi There, I tried to find a key programming mode and I dont think there is one. If there is I couldnt find it. I have made a video of this in response to your question! It should be ready next week.
Great explanation! Just watched the vid and ordered the front axle, seems easy enough to replace. For me, a wheel fell off because the axle broke. Very clear now how to replace it, thanks a bunch!
You're more than welcome 🙏. I am sure you will find it easy to replace.
The cat sits in there because mice have probably moved in. Nice to see the engine bay of a TR7 again.
Your right, my cats are the best mouse traps you can get! Efficient and leave no mess (usually) thanks for watching!
