Ugliest Michael Jordan Card Ever Made?? SGC Basketball Special Submission Reveal - Quick Turnaround
PSA has always been bad in my experience. That’s why I’ve always stuck with SGC
Solid choice. I've been ramping down my grading for PC. The cards I plan on keeping long term will stay raw for another 25 years or so. I imagine the grading scene will have new players and hopefully new standards by then.
Thanks for posting this. Biggie did not deserve what happened to him. Rip to one of the greatest ever
So do you need the submision kit or you just can send the cards
That is correct. I submit to TAG the same way I submit to SGC and PSA (card in penny sleeve, inside a semi-rigid holder, sandwiched between cardboard with two rubber bands vertically and two horizontally).
@@funcle_kevin okay thanks! I though you had to buy it with no option
@@MrCarlillos18 I sort of feel like that's what they want people to think. They don't make it plainly clear that you don't need their kit.
@@funcle_kevin yeah its strange.... Are you from the USA right? Want to send but Im from Euope
@@MrCarlillos18 I am from the USA but that shouldn't make too much of a difference. Try sending them an email and let them know your situation. I would imagine the only thing that might change would be the shipping price.

All together, I would guess somewhere around $6, give or take. lol In all seriousness, I don't know, but I'm probably not too far off. It's more about the fun with the older stuff for me.
dude, your videos are calming and very nostalgic....well played sir. love the hockey rips! you should look for some vintage TMNT pack rips. i remember getting those as a kid and they were fun as hell.
I'm so pumped about your comment! I'm glad you find them relaxing; that's actually why I make them and add the piano in the background. I'll definitely be on the lookout for TMNT cards. There are a few sets from the late 80s and 90s I'd love to find some sealed packs of.
Kevin, excellent videos on changing your front, transfer, and rear oils. Those oils that came out look still brand new.

@@joeydelmarsjr.646 I'm not sure but would expect the manufacturer of the cover to specify in their documentation. I suppose it would depend on where the inspection hole is in relation to the oem fill hole and if the new one is designed to hold more oil.

I had this tape I was at JFK high school in the BX... 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@svnyc76 That's what's up! I grew up in Poughkeepsie but was down there often when my sister was at Fordham.
I was submitting to PSA and got tired of getting seemingly random grades on my cards. I also realized I was more interested in grading for cards I intended to keep. So I am now sending to TAG. As your video and many commenters have said, TAG is not the best for flipping. But that could change years down the road. But TAG is certainly nice right now for displaying your collection.
I agree. The more cards I grade, and the more confusion I see from my PSA grades, I see more and more value in TAG. I'm definitely rooting for them to influence the grading market in the coming years.
This gives me alot more confidence hopefully I can get by without taking the outer tie rod off
I'm glad the video helps! If you run into anything that gives you trouble, don't hesitate to step away from it for a few minutes. It's amazing what a short time away can do for solving problems. While I can't guarantee I'll be able to respond immediately if you do get stuck, I always do my best to respond to comments on the fix-it videos as quickly as possible to help troubleshoot.
Does this doff have the drain bolt at the bottom like my 00 suburban ?
@@ramiroduenas573 From what I can tell, some did and some didn't. I think it depended on the differtial itself. This one, being the Eaton locker (rpo g80), does not. I've yet to come across a g80 with a drain plug but I bet I'll see one as soon as I hit send!
@@funcle_kevin my 00 g80 had it lol. From what I can tell my 06 Silverado doesn't tho
@@ramiroduenas573 I knew that was going to happen! My next guess is maybe it has to do with either the tow package or the z71 package. This truck has both. Or maybe they ran out of drill bits!
@@funcle_kevin makes me sad. Lol
Great video on keeping track of cards. I just got started about 2 weeks ago and have tone of cards. Now I have to sort them and figure this hobby out. I think you and I have a good idea on the image. the way my brain works is I need name team card number and price plus show the image. have you figure out where to upload the image and the big question what scanner will you be using or will you be using your phone camera. Been trying to figure this out rather then using apps since you have limit of space or you have to buy a member ship . Keep up the great videos. oh your link for the excel is not working either.
Thanks for checking it out and for the heads up about the link. I just corrected it (I had been tinkering with my site and forgot to fix the URLs). The part about showing an image in a spreadsheet gets tricky. The space on this spreadsheet for images is really just for the filename but not a graphical representation, if that makes sense. The reason is so that it can also be used for bulk uploads instead of manually doing each card. I looked into how to get actual pics into the spreadsheet but it didn't seem straightforward and I figured I'd be okay without it. That would work better with a database but it's also much more time consuming and technical to set up. There are some programs I've seen on eBay that are basically a ready-to-go database. Those might work better if you absolutely need the image. If not, the spreadsheet is likely a good start. As far as cameras go, I never use my cell for product images, but that's really only because I've been selling on eBay for years and bought a camera just for product pics. In the absence of that camera, I would probably use the cell phone. Most are more than capable but there are a few things to look out for. If you don't use any zoom at all, the card will seem distorted. I don't really understand why this happens, but it has something to do with how the lenses work. A quick fix is to set the phone farther back and zoom in a little. I had an old scanner that I tried using but it was very slow and became more of a hassle than a tool for progress, so I scrapped that plan and just practiced snapping pics of cards. It took a few tries, but after about 15 minutes of trial and error, you will have some of the best card pics available. Let me know if you have any other questions. It's always fun to see others getting into the hobby and seeing how much different it is now than when we were kids (yet so much of it is still exactly the same). One last tip, if you have a twitter account, there is a great hobby community there. I found a ton of solid people who sell, buy, show off, share tips, etc. It's an all around great way to feel connected to the hobby overall.
Also, I just realized that not only was the link to the page bad, I somehow messed up the links to the actual downloads. I'm going to have to check tomorrow to see if I can find the files on my backup and add them to the site again.
@@funcle_kevin Thank you for the reply back. I think I might create a twitter account ... let me know the groups. One other thing I just learn that 80 - 90 those are wax card junk and base cards or is it the same thing. I have a tone of those cards so what should I do with them or what would you do keep them or trash them after you took out the good ones.
@@louiem5985 With Twitter, they don't really have defined groups but when you follow a few people in the hobby, you'll start recognizing others who follow the same people. I'd say the best place to start would be a guy named Mike. His RUclips channel is called Junk Wax Hero. There's no link to his Twitter profile for some reason, but it's the same name with "- Mike" added to the end. He and an account called Card Purchaser are great for all levels of collectors. Both are a wealth of knowledge. You're sort of right about the 80s/90s stuff, but it's not 100% guarantee that a card from that era is worthless. That era is typically referred to as Junk Wax, but there are a lot of gems in there. Base, on the other hand, can be from any time period. It simply means that it's a card from the "regular" set as opposed to special cards that are randomly inserted in packs and boxes. Older sets were mostly base with very few, if any, inserts. Modern sets are a different monster. Some may have just as many "parallels" (cards that look like base but have a different border color or some other distinguishing mark to set them apart) as base. Your plan sounds solid. I'd go through them and keep the childhood favorites while checking the value of the others. You might find a card you don't really care to have in your collection that is worth enough to pay for a year of supplies and some new cards! Also, I just fixed the spreadsheet situation. I don't have the files for the ones that I saved after the video, but the ones I uploaded are a natural advancement of the others. I think you'll find the new one even more useful than what I showed in the video, but the basics are all the same. I just added some stuff. Let me know if you have any more questions. I'll do my best to steer you in the right direction!
@@funcle_kevin Thank you for all the info and advice. . .here's another issue I'm having since I have so many cards finding that gem is hard since I have check online. Plus there is not a good place or app to check what the current price is on the cards. I started using Collx but that app give you some times wrong prices on cards. I mean I check ebay like everyone else but that's it. If you don't mind me asking how did you check your cards? One thing I started doing is sorting the cards out by year and brand. once that is done I will be sorting by team . once that is one then by player to figure out how many copies I have. Then maybe if i don't get burn out create a collection of that year. is there a list of players that you know that I should be looking for 1985 to 1993 I guess the junk era that are worth something? That would sorta help me when I put the players together in the team section. thanks for you help again.

TAG's slab look the best and feel that best, nothing else comes close. As a collector and not a flipper, TAG is my go to. For flipping, just do PSA.
They definitely do look nice. I'm hoping they start taking junk wax soon. I'd love to see some 80s Topps in a TAG holder.
Overall a pretty good sub I think. Congrats on some nice grades. I have a ton of the Jagr and Brodeur rookies that I should look and see if any are worth grading. I should be getting some new PSA Blind Reveal videos up soon. Keep the videos coming.

@@funcle_kevin I cant wait to see more from you for sure. Good luck!!! I will be putting one up this week and I am also getting back 2 subs back this week.
My opinion, TAG will be the standard, it will be the other companies that will get in line and start using AI to grade. I have some TAG, JSA, and Beckett. I prefer TAG. This is just my opinion. I could be right or wrong only time will tell.
I think you might be right, but it could take a while. My guess is that someone (likely Collectors Universe) will buy the TAG technology and start implementing it.

Trust the TAG system over PSA and others all day. Market is ignorant when it comes to how they approach grading. I’d love for them to move to vintage cards, unfortunately don’t see that happening anytime soon. If you’re flipping cards, use SGC, PSA, BGS. If holding, love TAG.
I thought their plan was to get into vintage, but what I remember seeing on their website is no longer there. Either way, I agree that they should be the gold standard for grading. Time will tell.
