The Taylor 360 at my job is in bad need of new forks from ppl damaging them and ending up shorter from the damage being ground down. That little inch gap between the stack and the elbow of the forks at 1:12 here? You would be short a board when lifting that with our crummy forks, particularly 1x4 and 2x4 stacks.

That's not sawing , that's just making big cants , no sawing experience needed.for that . Especially when the log has been scan before hand . Cants must be being made to export , just square it up and let her go ( keeping maximum wane in mind , something the scanner program is made for

R.I.P. Tim! I don't know you, but these people sure do and you made a positive lasting impact to their life. And that's all that matters at the end of the day. Hey Wendell,,I'm glad to see forklifts on here, I had a 1956 Yale to learn on in 1967,,it had a clutch and a tall gearshift on the floor,,granny low and second plus low and high in reverse. Only two sticks for up and down and other for tilt. They finally bought me a brand new Clark 6 months later, that had sideshift what a dream,, my last ride was in 1993. PS. That old Yale could pick up a bundle of 20 ft 2x4s like no problem (240 ct) Thanks man,,!

During the swinging '60's women were hired for repetitive motion tasks like soldering and assembly. Ads would blatantly advertise for such in "Womens" Section of newspapers back in the day. It was believed they wouldn't mind- drift like men and produced steadier, better output. I came to embrace that notion too as a very young production assistant, guys would drive me nuts always looking to take a smoke or a pee break or just call in sick- the ladies were far more loyal, probably because they had social at- work circles, they didn't want to miss a thing, and then there is the first female fighter ace of WWII- but that is a story for another day. ☺
