Modern Cars and Trucks Suck, More People Will Switch to Bikes
As cars and trucks become more overpriced and less reliable, the used auto market will be filled with the garbage that is coming out now. More electrical problems, more complex components, more expensive to service, and overstressed engines will lead people to seek alternatives. Much like in Asia and Europe, people will increasingly look for alternate vehicles. Also, with lane splitting becoming more mainstream, I predict more motorcyclists on the roads in the states in the next 10-20 years.

I Gotta Chill Out

I've been going too fast on country roads. It's really hard to break the habit. The adrenaline rush is too much fun. Especially on twisty country roads. I need to learn to discipline myself to a more reasonable speed. Does anyone else face this struggle?
What Happens When Your Bike gets Stolen?

I need to practice! Tight hairpins intimidate me, and my line isn't the best. Pushing myself in a parking lot to get more comfortable on the road. Hopefully this inspires any other bikers out there to practice. Thanks for watching!

Scooters are the Real OGs
Просмотров 5319 месяцев назад
Low CC Scooters have it real rough out there. Many riders do so out of necessity. They ride rain or shine, when most of us "real bikers" won't. They don't have the advantages of evading traffic like a full sized motorcycle. Us bikers should grow our community and give respect to those that have to ride a small scooter. One day, maybe they will be on a full sized bike too.
$15 Motorcycle Seat Hack

Epic Ride Up Roanoke's Best Twisty Road

I Prefer the Stock Muffler

After a long time with an aftermarket pipe on my Ninja 400, I tried the stock muffler again. I found that I actually like the stock pipe better. The drone noise of a loud pipe is exhausting on long rides. Which do you prefer on your bikes?

The Best Roads for New Riders

Highway Drama Part 2... I stand by what I said in my last video. You have much more reaction time at slower speeds with less traffic than a busy highway. As a new rider, it's easier to develop situational awareness and confidence starting slow on an empty road. A crash at 35 mph is way less devastating than a crash at 95 mph. There's also the fact that even if you want to only ride highways bec...

Absolutely Necessary Mods For Ninja 400
Im stuck on unplugging the lights I can’t manage to take them off
me right now lmao
I love my DRZ. I tried a big bore. Not worth it. Engine is going back to standard. Heaps of pull as standard))
Interesting. I don't have any of the issues you have described but I am riding a 2020 Ninja400 in Japan which is tuned for a little more HP (US model has around 45hp vs 48hp in most other places) As for the clutch cable, I don't know whether this is some US thing with everyone and their grandma complaining about the clutch pull and replacing clutch springs or installing return springs but I haven't seen or met anyone in Japan who has done this mod so maybe there is some difference?
80mph, that's not that bad. i thought u couldn't drive that on the highway
I have a Gixxer 750 (i came from offroad world - fast ATVs and 450cc Dirt bikes) and I can clearly understand how it feels, I've been riding on streets for almost 2 months (with +15 years experience in off-road riding) and I can imagine how brutal that 1k is !! My 750 instantly shocked me hard the first time I rode it and I was literally shacking from how easily fast they go!! 🔥🔥🔥
Nice
My DRZ is a 2006 no issues
Man this must be the best tail tidy I've seen so far. Basically re-use all your hardware. Great to-the-point video. Think this will work on a Ninja 300?
100 as in mph?
@@LeoMahkonen yep!
@@Dsanridescoool! I just bought one couple weeks ago!
Take it to a mountain road to really see what it can do. It’s totally wasted where you were test riding.
Way harder than it looks. Putting the metal pieces back in the rubber is impossible.
I enjoyed your take of the DRZ, I Love Mine Too 2015
What tools did you use? I pretty much have nothing but the Allan wrench 😭

Appreciate the vid. It definitely helped me out. 🤝🏾
Thank you for explaining this so well, the first 2 videos I saw before were just ... home movies
Hey man nice video I live in a small town in Kansas and getting kinda bored riding the same places on my 500 nice video brother love the vid
The second mod is total shite, 1st gear is supposed to be touchy, that is apart of riding you have to learn how to use first sensitively, all you are doing is losing hp and making it slower. If you want a smooth riding experience at slow speeds just keep it in second. No hate though, just sayin.
@@Jacob_4D having ridden quite a few other bikes, none of them had that choppy cut to the gas the 400 has stock. The bike I learned on and rode 3 years was smooth in first gear. You do you though 🤷♂️
@@Dsanrides Why not keep it in second though? my 2023 ninja 400 rides happily in second going 9mph
@@Jacob_4D great question. I’ve thought about this before when riding. I’ve tried taking off in second quite often. Just too much clutch burn and not enough zip out of the stop for my taste. I really like the booster plug mod, having come from a carbureted bike, gotta have quick take off in first, but also smooth, not clunky. Cheers
@@Dsanrides Cruise around in 2nd then shift down to 1st when you need to take off.
more contents bro
If you have 900 bucks to drop you can just change the whole clutch basket with a yoyodyne clutch system. Imma do that soon.
accurate review... the DRZ will take you back in time, back to the good old days. awesome content
Get a supermoto maybe. I have an MT 10 SP and recently got a DRZ 400 sm. The DRZ has a lot les power, but it feels more fun on the country roads.
Man, this is one of the best youtube how-to's. Straight to the point. Links the product. 5-mins. Kuddos my guy.
I’ve been up the sport bike ladder and there’s nothing like the joy of riding a bike like this.
Engines and auto stop/start are emissions regulations, but the electronics is the relatively low purchasing power of enthusiasts. They give us lightweight, simple sports cars and they don't sell. I love my cars, but the fun/$ ratio is a huge reason I got into bikes as well.
More like price....you can get a brand new R3 for 8k after dealer fees...for that price you might be able to get a hoopti car with 100k+ miles on it.
Just got my 1990 caprice 9c1 clay barred, compounded and polished (ex detective cruiser 5.7 liter 350) back on the road after being parked nineteen years, only 106,000 miles. Purrs like a kitten, no rust! Getting my 2006 fz1 in 2 weeks, cant wait, no car payments, or new cars here.
That sounds like a tank of a car. I bet it’s really easy to work on. That FZ1 is gonna be a beast of a bike! I just looked up the specs, 150hp 😮!! Enjoy your new bike!
@@Dsanrides Yeah it is easy to work on, my Dad was a mechanic for 40 yrs, we got three of them at a police auction for 350 bucks a piece, two 1990s and one 1994, lol. The other one was a 1994 caprice with an lt1 motor. Your bike looks sweet, what are you riding? The fz1 is an awesome bang for the buck bike. Mid ten second quarter mile, and 0-60 in 2.7 seconds is crazy fast for 4500 bucks!, and be comfy while doin it! Great job Man, stay safe!
@@grinningintheirface2685 that’s a steal! I ride a 21 Ninja 400. 🤙

I’m gonna start on this bike 💯 gonna be real careful and respectful to the bike until I get experienced enough to actually use her fully

Nice chill vlog. I love it!

Nice man.
What you said at 00:28 is the exact reason a 400 can be better than any other bike category for many people, on a 1000 when you crank that throttle you'll feel like you're traveling tru time haha. When you got that speed addiction even a 150cc scooter will get you in trouble, specially on the twisties. Personally Im more of a fan of the acceleration rather than the top speed. I got my ECU flashed yesterday and let me tell you man..The throttle feels so much more responsive and so much faster in acceleration, and it makes it hard not to want to open that thing up haha. Have you looked into flashing your ECU as well? Stay healthy man!
ECU flash on a 1000 sounds insane! 😮 Did you get to open it up and do a fast pull? I’ve been thinking about a flash for a couple years, but just never got around to committing yet. It’s still on the list for mods. Cheers man!
@@Dsanrides I did man, I'll be making a video riding her with that new ecu flash soon. but honestly it changed the bike for me. If you ever feel like you're getting "bored" of your bike an ECU flash will change her in many ways and make her feel like a new bike again!
I have used a technique, this is coming from a CBR600RR and YZF R1 experienced rider. I always take it easy and only go 5 over the speed limit. However, I have my fun by launching off stop lights and getting to 5 over the speed limit as quick as possible, its alot of fun. Also, I have certain spots, where if there is no one around on a certain back road, I go through the gears and hammer it, but then when I get to the end of the road / spot where there is a stop sign /intersection, im back to riding calmly and going 5 over. Try it.
The launch is always addicting. Especially high RPM shifting! Finding a spot like that, good idea man. Still be able to get that rush. Thanks for watching
@@Dsanrides Choose your spot carefully.
also i cant tame myself neither....makes me want to stay away from liter sports
seen your comment on a video of mine and decided to check out your channel :) love your videos and your mentality keep it up man
Thanks man!
Yeah must remain in control to live every day. I say practice techniques and engrain them into my muscle memory, find a highway to go 75-80 in a 70 It’s not a skilled rider that has to worry about yourself but of others
“Live every day” you just said it best. That’s the ultimate goal to make it home to ride another day.
Nice video:)
Thanks!
Don't buy a super duke.
That would be too much fun 😂
I started on a Ninja 400 and it was an amazing bike. I have a Triumph Street Triple now but I would still have my Ninja if it didn't get stolen. Perfect bike to learn on if you're interested in sports bikes. It's a really good bike to ride around town and to take on twisty roads. You can use the whole powerband without breaking the law. The best thing is if you do decide you want to upgrade, you won't lose too much money as the value on them remains pretty high.
Start on a bike with disc brakes, start on a bike w a slightly lower seat height and lowest curb weight. Start on a bike w handlebars not clip ons. Should not be in an aggressive jockey position with extreme bends in legs and high foot peg position. Should not be very stretched out with significant weight and pressure on arms and shoulders. A sport bike position causes limits on peripheral vision, a more upright riding position allows better visibility and and more control. Aggressive body position is a bad start. Stopping, starting, braking, more not less rider mobility and vision is better for new riders, displacement of the bike is not as important as training and practice
One of my friends was riding with a guy who started riding a week prior, brand new 636. Sent himself into a barrier and died on impact. The truth is people will find a reason or argument to fit why they should get a bigger bike to start and a RUclips video wont change that. Just be prepared to live with the consequences, or die from them 🤷🏻.
Wow… That’s a really sad ending. If only he had a second chance. Things happen too fast. I truly wish the best for anyone that starts on a bigger bike. Throttle discipline is so incredibly important on super sports.
If you can afford 600 definitely just take it Hella easy at 1st and be ready for the worse and let the learning begin.
Dude this was hilarious, love your take on the concept of maximizing efficiency at all costs ❤
"Speed has never killed anyone. Suddenly becoming stationary, that's what gets you". Yes you should be very careful, always, but never afraid. Fear will make you panic, and unable to take decisions. Try to asses situations that you know you won't be able to get out of. "If that truck suddenly decides to stop, will i be able to swerve or brake in time?" If the answer is no, give it some distance. Know your riding level, and try to learn something everyday, that's it.
Contact the FBI and continue working with your old pd and have them help you with the federal agents. All they have to do is verify your ownership and that the police recovered it. My father had a simillar experience.
