@@matthewmccoyd2578 thats lame. Fortress was always hated in America. you can tell by the dub. Only in Japan was he shown with respect. Marvel didn't like him either. Spike abandoning him. Fortress ends up being a joke and disrespected.

Thats funny. This is the original Predacons. Before these the first animal bots were Soundwave cassettes, Ravage, Laserbeak and Buzzsaw. Many cars and planes. Eventually they seem to be making tanks everywhere. Megatron became one.

That was a horrible English translation ever. It shows how much the American version never liked his character from the start. I'd rather watch and read the captions.

Interesting to call it a soft reboot. I can see that. They had to explain Headmasters to the kids. They definitely didn’t go into detail about Black Zarak and Scorponok. I also think it’s their version of the humans becoming a transforming body to a larger bot like with Marvel comics and season 4. And a flesh creature becoming an engine for a robot is a bit disgusting and disturbing. What exactly is begin converted into energy from a flesh being? And the movie the Matrix would take this idea and ran with it. Not only that, the human needed to be triple jointed.

@@tripleairgoddess I think the portrayal of the Godmasters and Headmaster Jrs as humans piloting mechs may have also been Takara's way of taking Transformers lore back to its Diaclone roots. Likewise, Browning seems to be a nod to the Microchange toyline, which consisted of tiny robots that transformed into weapons or household items. Both Hasbro and Takara's versions of the Headmasters branched off from the same idea. Originally they were going to be smaller robots that combined with larger robots. You can see a bit of the original concept in the first Headmasters toy commercial.

@@tripleairgoddess Now I never said "Zarak should be human or Nebuleon." What Zarak shouldn't be is either lazy, boring, more mental unstable than Galvatron, or weaker than the beast headmasters.

Season 4, yes. Definitely.

I don't know about this self righteous attitude like the ones in America were so flawless. There are plenty of errors in the Transformers American animation of the first series, and plot holes inconsistencies, everything, in the American version.

@@tripleairgoddess Oh, absolutely. The first three seasons were wildly inconsistent. The Headmasters is definitely better-looking than "Five Faces of Darkness" or "Rebirth", for example. I don't mean to impugn the talent involved in any season; only the amount of time and money they had at their disposal. After all, the Headmasters (along with Masterforce, Victory and Zone) were animated by the same studio who animated the best-looking episodes of seasons 1&2, as well as the 1986 movie.

@@tripleairgoddess Idk, the US version was simple and straight to the point with the transformation. The Japanese version was more drawn out and that pose and flair at the end was kinda lame to me, and the fact that I have to sit through this same sequence almost everytime Fort Max gets on screen was a test on my patience, I'm like "get to the action already 😂!!!" Just my opinion.

@@antiseize11 so, just impatient. I see. A part of the short attention spans. I don't mind the pose. His first transformation no one else seen. Imagine actually seeing something like that right before your eyes, you'd be watching. In modern times people will get out their phones and record this event. He was posing for the people taking his picture.

@@tripleairgoddess Which I perfer that transformation sequence to have been done only once. The first time was okay, but the novelty wore off when it was done repeatedly, I'm like "I've seen this already, just jump straight into task at hand." Which I'm glad the US version didn't have any of that silliness going on

@@antiseize11 I'm sorry you had no appreciation for all the efforts they have put into creating this character and making everything perfect. All the animations, and edits. So much effort you take for granted. I can at least appreciate the amount of time and effort the Japanese put into his transformation. They made it shorter in later episodes, but you probably cut off before then anyway. Do your little pose Fortress Maximus. I like it. He's not into quickies 😀
